Kenaron316 posted a message on Hogaak, Arisen NecropolisHonestly a respectable commander. Its easy AF for black/green to fill the graveyard, or to spam out creatures, or a combination of both.Posted in: Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis -

Oh well, still one more shot next week. -

Fossil Firebird posted a message on Spark DoubleUgh. Seriously, man, the tools control is getting out of this set are going to make it even more dominant than it currently is. Especially UWx control. New Teferi, Dovin's Veto, Dovin himself, Flux Channeler, Lazotep Plating, Ignite the Beacon (yay for inevitability!), The Wanderer and any number of the UWx planeswalkers, more proliferate, and so on. I feel like you're going to have to play control to be viable in this meta. Burn won't be able to win through player hexproof and damage prevention. Combo will never get its pieces off (and may be stymied by player hexproof and damage prevention, as well) through all the taxation, counterspells, and board state manipulation. Aggro is too slow and too easily dealt with; now Bant Turbofog of Fate, Azorius "stare at your opponent" control decks, and Dimir "you can't play Magic" decks are all going to get a shot in the arm.Posted in: Spark Double
While this set is very cool, it feels like the meta is about to become "Play control with lots of planeswalker support or don't play at all." -

IndigoAjani2 posted a message on Rakdos, the ShowstopperWhy? Here we have an incredibly evasive 6/6 for a fair price, with a splashy, on-flavor, upside-only etb effect. He's statistically incredibly likely to take out some of your opponent's creatures when he enters. Is he totally dominating and overpowered? Nah. But if you're disappointed every time a big legend doesn't blow the competition out of the water, you won't have a lot to look forward to.Posted in: Rakdos, the Showstopper - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
