Anyone running simic? You get fogs, u get Steve, u get Nissa ults the turn you play her. Rites of Flourishing conveniently let's you play an additional land for fog. The deck becomes a lot more blue but that opens up some super awesome cards like that blue replicate spell that costs U and Taps ANY permanent. I see you assembled Tron. Good look casting stuff on your upkeep. I see your holding up Mana for counterspell... Your end step I'm tapping your lands.
I'm running Stitch, Satyr Wayfinder, and Stinkweed. Actually the creature count is 36. Steve's in there too and G Thug(dredge), and crypt of agadeem.
Wincon has been beatdown with doom or those raiders. It's weak, but fun.
It's resembled a dredge deck thus far. Highly yard intensive so it could never be a thing. Burn is an autowin matchup. Major focus of the deck is putting creatures in the yard. Gaining 12 life on turn 3 is pretty consistent. Gaining 40 life later in the game because they don't have yard hate is just silly.
It kinda makes me want to build a mortal combat deck for the lol's
You should be running free spells like gut shot, manamorphose, noxious revival. And you should do temur for keen sense. There's also that red enchantment that let's you play the top of your library instead of your hand. Forgot what it's called.
There's also izzet creatures that untap on any instant sorcery cast and they ping for one. There is also a red instant grants haste, cantrips a draw.
Green also gives u a lot of hexproof options like blossoming defense.
Noxious IS a free spells and with stuff like manamorphose and opt it can come in real handy
Here's the list I've been testing with a lot of success. Sometimes I get Mana screwed or color screwed but that happens I suppose.
The premise is pretty much the same, Lots of disruption and push through a shadow. I'm using mausoleum and a lot of 1 of spells that are versatile in their own.
I'm relatively new to shadow I just started thinking about consistency of secrets with redundancy of snap and got excited. Do you guys have any advice on what other black answers I should mainboard. And I have no idea for sideboard. What's best grave hate for shadow? Some damnation? Can be hard to get to 3 or 4 Mana for tutoring, but people like to kill the creatures I'm not cycling anyway. I hope we can work together to make sultai a thing.
I always liked rallier especially with oath of Nissa cantripping. The problem is you can't chain oath of Nissa into finding oath of Nissa for lol's. There's a lot of hate cards that cost 2 or less
There's a lot of cards mausoleum can find. Snapcaster are common, as are looting. Faerie Macabre builds up undergrowth and has an effect attached. You can eat up decks with less threats with ego and surgical. You can't snap on turn 2. But u can certainly enable an undergrowth of 2 pretty easily. Watching LtLH with a surgical flat out beats blue decks
Faerie Macabre is an excellent snapcaster eater. Handful of other cards too like any deck that uses looting, arclight, dredge, and a few others. I wasnt using architects but that's a 12 count there. You could literally run a suite of pulse, decay, trophy, push, charms, dismember, ego, surgical, countersquall with 4 mausoleum and 3 snaps... LtLH is superb with shadow or snap or any beater u wanna run
It's like saying, oh I want to splash green in uw control, and pretending you didn't or shouldn't be in the bant control thread. Not everyone builds a deck like you. Some people enjoy the challenges of even a mono-colored deck. Let's even pretend your blue splash revolutionizes the deck. Are people going to call it orzhov control with a blue splash. No, they're going to call it Esper. And what you lost? People that want to build orzhov control are reading about Esper control. They're not going y
to contribute orzhov thoughts in an Esper thread. It is imperative that you see the big picture here and keep boards organized. It will keep the thread alive with people who may not have even played magic yet who simply want to build an orzhov deck.
You spit in the face of every orzhov player out there when you talk of colors that aren't orzhov in an orzhov thread.
Uhh yeah, a thread titled "bw orzhov control" should be strictly about BW. I see this time and time again with these threads and I just check less and less because the integrity of most of these threads is a ******* joke.
NW helps u hit land drops because you're drawing cards. Seeing more cards so u can hit drops 3 to 5 or 6 more consistently. What you said about NW being better for a lower curve makes zero sense. Go ahead and use Bob with a quarter of the deck costing 3+ Mana.
Moreover, it fills a need for this deck as a 2 drop. 2 or 3 is the correct number.
One of the decks primary wincons is a ticked up Lili. Spending Mana to search for cards for Lili to dump is anti-synergy. Most of these bw lists run 8 to 10 walkers, with as many as 12!
Are you suggesting to build a control deck with single target removal and no draw? Because pw value and souls only goes so far.
Because this is BW control. Take your Esper Control ideas to the proper thread.
NW helps hit land drops in a deck that runs a higher curve, gives fodder to Lili, and most removal in deck is single target. So yes, NW is way better than you give it credit.
If u want to add a 3rd color go to another thread or risk diluting this topic. These colors counterspells are TS, IoK, and CB with efficient removal. Furthermore this deck has a lot of doublecosted BB/WW cards. Moon is already an issue.
Mainboarding LoS? Any thoughts on this. Pitching it with LotV isn't terrible if you don't need it.

Has anyone tried brewing this?
Agadeem comes to mind
Dredge comes to mind
Songs of the Damned isn't modern legal
Golgari Raiders Hi There
How do u deal with spirits
The premise is pretty much the same, Lots of disruption and push through a shadow. I'm using mausoleum and a lot of 1 of spells that are versatile in their own.
Here's the list

4 kitesail freebooter
4 death's shadow
3 snapcaster mage
4 mausoleum secrets
2 abrupt decay
1 assassin's trophy
1 golgari charm
1 Countersquall
1 surgical extraction
4 thoughtseize
1 maelstrom pulse
1 unmoored ego
4 basics, rest fetches and painlands

I'd recommend secure the wastes. XW instant, X tokens
