Given that I've been in the market for Immaculate Magistrate and Imperious Perfect lately, I fully support these reprints.

Numa Numa seems good, but not great. She's at least an uncommon, but so is Imperious Perfect and that's much better.

Part of me thinks, hmm, pretty ballsy of Wizards to blow their load with the set's Big Power Card on the first day of spoilers.

Another part thinks, hmm, perhaps this isn't the set's only Big Power Card? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

A bit overcosted, but still a cool card. I definitely want a copy for my angel deck.

Teaming up with Konami, huh? Seems like an odd move for WotC - not because of the Yugioh thing, but because Hasbro seems to pride itself on being very family-friendly, and it's an open secret that Konami is run by the yakuza. I would not be surprised if the IP licensing thing does end up completely falling through, because Konami's management is in the habit of promising things relating to their properties and then changing their minds at the last minute (see: Silent Hill 2015).

Game state ill needs a savior such as you. Your sideboard is as empty as your soul!
Perhaps the same can be said of all expansions...

do we know the price of the product already ? do they accept gold bar's ?

The way LGS have been going the last few years? MSRP will probably be like $129 per box, maybe, but most LGS will charge 8 ounces of gold (feel free to google that) and a blood contract.

When it comes to the egg he's being literal, the 7th egg in mtg the other being https://scryfall.com/search?as=grid&order=name&q=type:egg

Also Dinosaur Turle must be a reference to Gamera

    OH YEA!

that’s got to be it I forgot that kaiju so we’re probably getting a creature based on gamera

    Gamera is really neat.
    (And full of turtle meat.)

A tutor that can fetch Assassin's Trophy at instant speed? Yikes.

Like I've been saying since M19 was spoiled, Golgari is going to be one of the decks to beat in standard once Guilds comes out.

Multiple people in this thread mentioned putting this in their Trostani deck. Can someone explain to me what the appeal of this card is in Trostani? I understand Trostani is a token deck but I though you'd rather want large token that scale better with the populate and life gain abilities.

Combo potential, and lots of it. At instant speed.

Goes perfectly with a lot of Trostani stuff like Dictate of Heliod, Dictate of Karametra, Collective Blessing, Doubling Season, etc. etc.

It's good to see R&D realizing what the big threats in standard/modern are and printing more things to actively deal with them. Plus, between this and Infernal Reckoning, I'm pretty sure Ugin is going to be showing up as a beast of a card in later sets. Maybe even Emrakul coming in as Bolas' "if I go down I'm taking you all with me" contingency.

Also, current card environment aside, this is a hell of a good Jund staple.

A Parun cycle sonds powerfull(also, feather?). BG split is pushed. And that may be the best niv mizzet

Don't count on it unless time-travel shenanigans become a thing in the upcoming sets. The Paruns aren't the guild leaders, they're the founders; and apart from Azor and Rakdos, Niv-Mizzle is the only one still alive (unless you count Mat-Selesnya being a dormant tree-god-spirit-elemental-thing).

As for the cards...yeesh. My friend's monster of an Izzet deck didn't need to get any more powerful, but here we are.

At first I was skeptical about this being mythic, but then I got to thinking about all the stuff you can do with its combination of abilities. Not the least of which is bouncing an opponent's planeswalker or other big threat right when it'll flummox them most, then surveiling into a counterspell you can use when they try to re-cast it.

I like it. There's a lot of utility here. Giving all your creatures lifelink is always a good way to net advantage in Boros, and this is probably going to be its go-to solution against Selesnya and Golgari amassing 1/1 tokens. Plus, yeah, I'm sure R&D's intention with this was to Mentor your creatures up out of its range and then activate both modes.

Yeah, this is going straight into my Naya deck. Instant horde generator? Yes please.

Also, I think an overlooked draw of these soldier tokens is the fact that they have lifelink. Even if you send them crashing against a wall of your opponent's defenders and only a few actually get through to deal damage - or if they try the same against you - you're most likely looking at a crapton of life gain from it. Especially if you're playing to Selesnya's strengths and putting out a bunch of stuff that buffs all your creatures.

Remember folks Whisper, Blood Liturgist is a card...

so she is pretty easy to reanimate.

Yeah, this. I mean, if you aren't dumping creatures with comes-into-play effects into your graveyard and reanimating them over and over, what are you even doing playing Golgari? CMC shouldn't be an issue because you're hardly ever going to be hard-casting it.
