I really like this as a three drop alongside the wrox war monk in the bant decks. This creature turn 2 to power out a 5cmc card turn 3 is good if you didnt get the war monk in your first hand. Late game if you have burned through a few of them they will be big beefy creature that would probably be a 7/7 for 3 mana late game. And blocking with it you could be tech also. Declare as blocker, before damage, tap-sac land-play land, instant +1/+1.
This seems like a very good card for older formats. I will look for some stripmines or whatever broken land I want to, thank you very much. Notice how it doesnt say basic or comes into play tapped or the land needs to be untapped. You could sac a tapped forest and get another one and pump out that spell that needed just one more land. Or you could be tapped out and on their turn sac a plains, get another one then path to exile a creature. Ninja Land!
Interesting but you would have to reword the cards so you cant get the same abilty multiple times because paying GGGG to put 4 lands into play RRRR to do 8 damage or BBBB to make a player discard 4 cards is a little overpowered.
It is creatues like this that are going to force me to run 4 path to exiles and shriekmaws, this set seems to love and have kinky 5 mana sex with and have giant babies with huge creatures.
Since it is supposed to be mythic does 2u untap: turn target permanent into an artifact until end of turn work? It would turn it into a very expensive vindicate.
That card is a little too insane, it would probably bounce a non artifact permanent, or put it on top of the library, although putting on top of the library would probably be even more overpowered.
Also I am not a fan of activation costs, and it would be lame if the only bw costs were for activations and not actual cards.
The reason why there are no fear esper creatures is because it would be useless in esper since everything is an artifact and can block you, while pro artifact would be very useful in esper since you would have protection from everything. Very useful when you are protecting something. From what I understand of the story there are powerplays on esper from various factions and there is the group that knows how to make etherium and keeps it a closely guarded secret. Maybe the knights protect that secret. Just random speculation.
My idea is that it is Knight of the Reliquary. A reliquary is something that stores or houses a relic, and when you think of relic you think artifact. And Black and white are also the esper colors and the colors most famous for knights, although red also has some knights of merit.
I was hoping it would be a non-creature vindicate, but with the release of the card that nukes black and red permenents, that idea went out the window. I am thinking it may be a knight that has protection from artifacts, first strike and hopefully one more ability. And 2/2 of course.
I came to this conclusion because if they are the knights of the reliquary that would probably mean they are protecting it. And in the esper shard it would be very good to have protection from artifacts to protect the relic inside the reliquary from denizens of esper who may want to steal it.
You could use it to make a terror hit black creatures for the low low cost of , pitching a land, playing 1U and 1B for the terror. That is efficient! I am sorry but I dont know why wizards prints these change color abilities at rare when it doesnt do anything on its own, you need othercards in conjunction with it to work, kinda like adding kicker except instead of just extra mana it also takes extra cards slots in your deck.
Played today, went 2-1. Won against mono white kithkins and Mono red with splash Blightning and lost very close games against faeries. Would of won against faeries but misplayed for the loss. But lesson learned. Same Decklist as in post 21. I would like to see if this deck does good in other peoples meta, could someone try it out and let me know?
Your mana looks wonky too me, How has it been working, you need it seems to be all three colors of mana by turn 3, swamp then plains then mountain? Also I am not a huge fan or your sidboard, a few infests or wraths may be needed also forgetenders for against red and wispmares against faeries because I see a turn 2 bitterblossom may be a problem for you. Granted cavaliers, blightning, sculler and thoughtseize are good against faeries but faeries is still a really good deck right now.
