The aversion to guns and like the use of weird halo 2 looking energy sword plasma rifle contraptions in this is goofy looking as hell. I'm not talking about Kellan's "not a halo two sword" daggers but like the annie flash thing and the one on crack shot and some other art.
Love the cactus folks. -

It'll harm Living End's match-up with blue decks since it can't pull off Violent Outburst at opposing EOT into regular Cascade spell next turn, but Crashing Footfalls never leaned on that tactic as much. Cascade decks combined I can see as being dominant...just nowhere near as much of a problem at this ban time as BR Evoke was just prior to Fury getting banned.
...So Living End takes the bigger plunge. If we're lucky, RUG Crashing Footfalls turns into Bant. If we're not, Wizards just killed a deck sub-archetype because only Domain variants of Crashing Footfalls live. Brilliant. -

Yes, it is you. All you want is to spectacle these poor people fighting each other to the death for some macguffin for your entertainment when all they want is to hang together and have a good time. Shame on you. -

sleeper agent 2.0 posted a message on [OTJ] - Commander Decks leakedI am interested in the themes of all four of these decks. I wonder if the Naya one will actually have deserts too, and maybe even have Hazezon, Shaper of Sand as a reprint? Could be perfectly on theme of growing lands back.Posted in: The Rumor Mill
I find it kind of silly that this is an "old timey western set" and that translates to "characters you've seen before all cosplaying" -

it isn't just you. And if we had some attachment to these characters beyond "...cool commander I guess?" it'd be a sweet selling point. As it stands it just comes across as awkward and stilted.
Agreed. -

There was this great conspiracy theory that the great desparking and the omenpath were made to cash on commander players, truth is they wanted to be able to do seasonal skin for every legendary creature (like Olivia and Gonti) and not only for Elspeth and other PWs. -

Which is funny because we've had Secret Lairs with PWs in costumes. -

Having the rules on the card seem a little more practical than fiddling with your phone lol

They missed an opportunity when they didn't make a Beatles secret lair given their last song was released two weeks ago. We missed out on mechanics like "The fab four" if you have all four on the battlefield. The legendary land cycle featuring "The carvern club", "Strawberry fields" and "Pepperland". Legendary artifact equipement "Höfner bass" and "Maxwell's silver hammer". Also the insanely over powered black legendary instant spell called "Wail of the banshee" depicting Yoko Ono screaming in the back while John and Chuck Berry are trying to play.
I would have bought that lol. Completely missed opportunity.
