As for Gitrog Monster, I already have an original foil and prefer that art (it's actually one of my favorite commander decks which is only missing chains and bazaar to be fully optimized)

Why not include this in Traxos, Kozilek, Kethis, Captain Sisay, and so many other commander decks?
Also fun with persist creatures and in Experiment Kraj to more easily stack opposing commander abilities without it having to tap to add counters itself!
I like the showcase art, but this feels gimmicky, too slow to be useful given other available options, and overpriced out the gate so there's no point preordering this. I suspect the price on this will drop, but I'll be impressed if I'm proven wrong.

Would a hybrid dog wolf one-drop have been too strong with the current dog lord and standard meta?

This man deserves the treatment, or at least heavy consideration for an eventual "Secret Lair: Infection"
Cast your mind back to Ramunap Ruins it dominated standard so hard it had to be banned.
For reasons that are pretty unapplicable to this land, like how you could get 4-6 uses out of the Ruins.
Exactly. Ruins doesn't enter tapped like this one, so there was no risk of lost tempo.
This new land also requires two colors to activate which is a big drawback, and even targets unlike ruins which gets through leyline of sanctity.
It's good for an uncommon, but balanced and unlikely to be abused.
The saga is certainly good value in a Jund Korvold deck if your turn 1 duskwielder or flaxen intruder survives and attacks with the demon
Perhaps to encourage migration to the new domain, any user who had an account here should be given a "Legendary", "Legacy", or "Vintage" user account upon signing up for added prestige depending on how many years they were active or posts they had.
