I think it is because Automaton impacts the board the turn it comes down while mimic impacts only on subsequent turns. We are in some way a race deck and metallic mimic isn't the best at racing.
I've been looking at getting slivers together for a bit and now, with MH, I've decided to pull the trigger. What's the difference in "Fast Slivers" and other sliver builds? Aren't they all meant to go fast?
New to the deck but I've been watching a lot of Fluffy play different variants to get an idea of lines to play, Moving forward, I plan on picking up some cards to open up more options, just looking for opinions on the list I have. Thanks for any input.

I've started building 8-Rack, proxied it up to get the feel of the deck, and i love it. I ran into a few issues and was wondering, how do we deal with chalice on 1? I'm probably missing something but do we just try to keep cards out of their hand and go to town with mutavault? thanks!
