    Nice. Aura of Indifference is awesome. And I especially like Center of Attention. Not only is it a throwback mechanic of sorts, but it isn't called "Blazing Hot Lightning Dragon Fire Magma of Goblin Smoke".

    This thread got me thinking about what the R can do outside of Shivan Variant #9, Block Mechanic Shock, and more Goblins.

    I have one simple card to begin a testbed of nonred R. Please share your nonred R ideas. Keep in mind that by "nonred" I mean "not cliche red".

    I see Phyrexian W as a more likely W candidate for grafting than the Conclave.

    In the early days, before the color pie was overhauled and certain design aspects refined, R was given "non-red" effects or concepts that still translated very well into R and even felt very R only in a different way than R is generally perceived these days. These were cards that are strange by today's mainstream design and flavor for R, but not "unred" if you get me. Cards like: Beasts of Bogardan, Blood Lust (possible reprint?), Blood Moon (possible reprint?), Brand of Ill Omen, Caverns of Despair, Conquer, Desert Drake, Granite Gargoyle, Gravity Sphere, Raging River, Storm World, etc. I'm not saying "we" should go back to older design conventions, I'm just saying that red has more to offer than its Goblins and lightning cliches and that WotC has a masterful flavor department which can certainly flavorfully and properly implement R Werewolves and/or even Vampires.

    I have no problem seeing R's gothic persona manifest as werewolves. I'm really looking forward to see where WotC has gone with the red mana symbol in Innistrad. Frankly, I'm sick and tired of R = Shivan Dragon Variant #9, Shock + Block Mechanic, and "what haven't we done with Goblins yet?"

    I see the third ability, which is that of Augury Adept a (W/U) card, as very G. More G than either W or U. In fact, I see it as either a G effect or a WU effect but not a (W/U) effect at all as WotC does. As far as it having synergy with the card, not all PW abilities are necessarily synergistic. Look at Jace 1.0 which has two abilities that basically step all over each other from a design perspective, but no-one seems to mind because it pans out well in reality. I see Iliri's two "conflicting" abilities as being situational.

    I consider the first ability perfect for W but more U than G. I don't know how to explain it, but it just feels right. Part of it is that yes, green should certainly be a color that can search for creatures, but large creatures. And the [0] ability is without question not outside of blue's slice of the pie. I like your idea. I have to make it "total one or two" because "less" opens up a can of worms with stuff like Tarmogoyf, Acrbound Ravager, and every other */* or 0/0 creature. I already know this because I once designed a card that did just as you said and got heavily criticized.

    The colorful mana cost is an exercise in hybrid design. I wanted to design a three color hybrid planeswalker in which all of the abilities were acceptable with any of the possible mana combinations. I think I have done so.

    It stops counterspells and/or combat tricks. Think City of Solitude, Silence, Defense Grid, and countless blue counterspells.
