I wanted to take a look at Processors, I generally like shifting though lesser known decks to get a better feel for ways that decks can be constructed. Any of the more dedicated players of the deck have a write up about their current card choices and how they feel about the deck?
How close is Ghostly Prison too finding slots in the main in UW Turns? I used them on modo while Exhaustion was bugged and found them staying in most games, against aggro it slows them down and against control it forces them to be spending their mana to put a clock on us, which is even more relevant if they are trying to win with man-lands like Celestial Colonnade.
Now that Jace, the Mind Sculptor provides a new win condition for blue decks I don't know if it will hold up as well but it does do work against a Bloodbraid Elf on four.
I don’t think there was any turns decks present, if so I didn’t see them when I was watching coverage. But be expecting and increase in lantern and mardu pyromancer since they just took 1st and 2nd respectively, especially if you’re playing online.
When do you guys chose to put Laboratory Maniac in the sideboard as an alt wincon?
Are there any color comobos in turn decks where it just can't find a slot it the sideboard?
Does Mono-U have any reasonable ways of beating lantern? Laboratory Maniac + Hurkyl's Recall seem like they might be able to get some wins but it seems iffy since you are probably going to get hit by hand disruption if you have it from the start and they probably aren't going to let you draw it. Jace Beleren and Elixir of Immortality might also get us there in some lucky games.
Quick note about the primer, final deck list says Feb 7th 2018 rather than January.
Also how much do you think the cost of Chalice of the Void effects the viability of the deck?
Thoughts on The Immortal Sun?
It is probably too expensive for a mine effect but I figured it might be good to discuss if there is any shell that might want it for its cost reduction or planewalker hate.
The fact that it has to go down on turns where you could be time walking or holding up interaction make it seem pretty tough to justify though.
