(for Gix i got to give a fair warning he could cause Sheoldred, the Apocalypse or himself to get banned in standard because that's just beyond psycho combo with each other (you gain 1 life and they lose 3).)
In 1 v 1 standard you'd just gain 1 life and draw a card, they don't draw cards from attacking you, so not as bonkers of a combo in Standard, but still very good synergy
So uh,.. am I wrong, or does Bloodthirster + Chaos Terminator Lord = 12 combat steps in a single turn? (Assuming 3 opponents)(the bloodthirster can only attack during 3 of them)
Only Bloodthirster untaps unless if you had another way to untap all creatures
And only bloodthirster would be able to attack 3 times total if you had 3 players (it can't attack same opponent twice in a turn). Double strike doesn't compound.
3 times 2 (double strike) is 6 possible extra attack phases, so if you can find that way to untap all creatures, yeah, not bad.
I have very little interest in the D&D crossovers but I was hoping for more colorless or 5 color general options in a commander legends set. I believe that's 2 in a row without an artifact general
Luckily I'm interested the adventure commander so at least I will be picking up those commons // uncommons and have fun with those as a little janky deck.
I know this is rather late to say this, but is anyone else kind of peeved that they did the remainder of the triome cycle but only had 5 cycling cards in this set?
Like... It feels like cycling should have been a part of the set since it's not an evergreen mechanic.
It could just be me -- I'm all for it becoming an evergreen mechanic somehow but it kind of just feels a little lazy, like "well the other triomes had cycling so lets just make triomes instead of new three colored lands"
For those of us rocking the Zur cycling deck, this is a fun alternate general to try out. Just add a few sac outlets and bam -- repeatable cycling when you're out of gas.
but I'm bummed that the alt arts of the triomes just look so... Ugly. Even by this art style standards.
Like I dug the alt arts of the Ikoria triomes, and I know those were about embracing the weird nature of ikoria and these have to embrace city architecture // gang aesthetic, but they dont even seem... Picturesque or impressive in any way.
Though I'm not excited by the creatures that are basically just better artifacts and lands just existing on creatures, I am excited for the suspend D- Tutor and the free cast evoke cycle. Interesting spots for new development.
TBH the professor not being on the list just makes me want to watch his content more. He's at least offering counterpoints to every greedy decision and quality dip Hasbro has allowed to pass through WOTC's doors these past few years. He's a better source for info on the subject than all these other channels that feel like they are just sucking up to Wizards. That's why those channel's product reviews don't interest me: but the Professors' does. At least there's an honest opinion there.

(I'm just an EDH player now, so I'm totally out of touch)
Resurgent Belief looks great!
