Any particular reason people are off Bant with Spell Quellers? I've been wondering this for awhile now actually, after seeing Hoogland stream it a few times, it seems really solid.

UW is a horrible match up for Hollow One... where is this 50/50 meme coming from? UW has a ton of very favorable match ups right now. Hollow One, GDS, Affinity and Modular, Humans is decent, same with KCI.

Bridgevine has a serious issue against other creature decks. Affinity and Spirits both have evasion and can sac their own creatures to exile Bridge, as well as brutal sideboard cards. Infect has evasion and can be faster since Bridgevine has little interaction. Elves can overrun when left unchecked. Bogles is nearly unwinnable for Bridgevine

I would say Punishing Fire as well. It would be a relatively benign card in this format, but still give a slight boost to some fair decks

To be fair, the Bridgevine player has had some really great draws.

Also the deck is fairly poor against creature decks with some sort of evasion, like Bogles, Affinity, Infect, Elves... Probably a great pick for this weekend with the pros picking the more established “tier” decks

So just ban KCI. It's stupid that it enables plays to beat hate cards because it operates at mana speed

Tron is probably the only Ancient Stirrings deck that would be fine with Oath of Nissa. Banning Stirrings just kills a bunch of tier two decks

I cut a Throne for a third Welding Jar. It’s been good. But so has Throne for that matter, sometimes for no other reason than an outlet to sac Walker. The main board is very tight.

I’m going to crunch some numbers later and mull over cutting a land. Probably a forest, or MAYBE a Blinkmoth.

Ideally, I want 3-4 Welding Jars, 2-3 Thrones, and 2 Evolutions in the 75 but it’s tough fitting it all

The "Fair Magic" finals everyone wanted was a real snoozer.

Mardu and Abzan in the finals
