I have to side with Humphrey on this I think the trend is definitely against "value trap" (as Humphrey puts it) cards. Skophos Reaver and Lose Focus are obvious staples but everything requires at least a little analysis
"If a common version of a particular card was ever released in Magic, any version of that card is legal in this format." is the official definition of pauper on the WOTC website. I like the fact that they merged paper and classic pauper and I don't really see how there is any more discussion about that topic. If you add "legal:pauper" to the mtga only commons, they don't show, because mtga arena starter cards aren't a Set. The need a phyisical printing as well.
"In this Magic format, all cards must have been printed at common rarity in a Magic set or product." I find it interesting that they still have this official definition, but I think that they simply count "released on mtgo" as "printed" since a physical counterpart exists.
you can add "new: rarity" to that search to cut out all the cards that were previously common
EDIT: I actually got it down to two searches, one of which is guaranteed to be online only commons and one of which needs to be sifted through which consists of 60 cards
There are some cards that only appear at common digitally that are good though. Not 100% sure how to make a list though since there are so many reprint sets these days and the syntax on scryfall doesn't really line up perfectly to do that search
He made massive changes in the middle of last year that brought his cube into very close correspondence with yours. Do you think maybe he saw your list and was "inspired" by it or something? Otherwise it is an uncanny situation.
Is the assumption with Freyalise's Radiance that they will have snow lands and you won't? Because you aren't going to be able to pay the CU long if your lands are snow as well.
It can’t be chumped because it has trample, yeah probably meta depending but imho a 4/4 trample that replace itself ( and create mana ramp ) is better than a 5/4 pseudo unblockable
in terms of being chumped, small tokens could band token to block and kill it. So its not totally clear that trample is better than daunt in combat. But as mentioned above, trample also offers some other potential benefits like Ram Through.
But yeah totally cool to not engage obviously. I was unaware that this type of discussion could be viewed as toxic, but I respect the perspective of it’s not enjoyable for some.
I haven't cubed in forever due to the pandemic and not playing online but yeah, obviously participation is voluntary But I'm not sure comments like 'this bores me, I've totally outgrow this type of discussion' is "totally cool" lmao.
I hope you mean metaphorically!
EDIT: error corrected

Must be common only on line:
https://scryfall.com/search?q=(in:uncommon or in:rare or in:mythic) -game:paper new:rarity -r>common prints=2&unique=cards&as=grid&order=name
Might be common only on line:
https://scryfall.com/search?q=(in:uncommon or in:rare or in:mythic) -game:paper new:rarity -r>common prints>2&unique=cards&as=grid&order=name
Lol it would be close a second Guardian of the Guildpact I guess
EDIT: Barkhide
