Most people don't play the conspiracies because the best ones are utterly broken and might be picked even over Sol Ring and Black Lotus. The uncards can be jarring but from a power level perspective typically aren't as problematic as the top conspiracies
It depends on how deep you go. Nerf War is a one card Storm deck. Contract from Below obviously. Necro-Impotence draws you 32 cards (ie your deck after your starting hand) for 16 life. And there are a number of others that are unbalanced without being virtual insta-wins.
Clocknapper is an almost-black border card and is S I C K
Arcane Savant can get pretty stupid as can Topsy Turvy if you actually go through the motions of how it works (its more like Tipsy Turvy lol).
Another good one is Mise which is a big build around as a much better Predict. It combos with 1996 World Champion btw

My brother and our fluctuating little group normally play Cube for wacky stuff or alternative game styles. But I have to admit I am curious as to what is considered 360 Cubeable these days. All of the Unserious cards and Conspiracies warp things so much that I don't really have a touchstone to judge by. It seems like many staples from a few years are probably relegated out while I'd guess there is a parity where you could choose a bunch of different paths that are all about equally compelling.
I don't think there is a 2 mana analogue for Tall As A Beanstalk. That'd be very strong unless you were thinking it was an instant. In which case it is overcosted by 2.95 tbh (Giant Growth+reach is only worth marginally more mana than GG)
I'd play any all of these (and several others) before running Oracle of Mul Daya or Master of the Wild Hunt.
I want my green 4 drops to be hasty/flashy/hexproofy or come with an enter the battlefield ability. Mull Daya and MotWH are overcosted and outdated.
I think Vengevine is the best of them for us just because we don't build our Cube to feature midrange very much. You can play midrange in every format ever while there is almost nowhere else to unleash the ridiculousness available in Cube. So that ends up not being a very kind position for green 4 drops.
Sooo why play any of the green 4 drop creatures? Is green Agro supported for you? Don’t see what vengevine really does in typical super high powered formats in green decks.
Thrunn and obstinate baloth are at least great sideboard cards.
When we get more players there are always some who remember its glory days in other formats I guess. One thing that I've done before is seed a few of the fat 3-4 mana green cards for someone to pick up late if they have the haste Conspiracy, Immediate Action. We've been using Old Fogey in that role recently. The 5 drops are still too slow eg Kalonian Hydra} If you force snowlands he is a beating and a half vs white decks but we don't typically do that (people get very upset between him and Cold Snap).
Also, we're bo1
EDIT: re:Obstinate Baloth, have you tried Nullhide Ferox in that role?
I'm so irritated that we are witnessing the revival of protection from a color in standard. As an ardent member of the "color of my opponent's stuff shouldn't matter in draft" club, I have to pass.
You have to admit not judging cards by the color of their casting cost is a pretty radical idea
i'll reserve real judgement for after the release of the rest of the set, but for now food anything is underwhelming and i suspect like many mechanics in this vein before them they wont' be developed and explored until later sets
Gingerbrute being a food gives me a bit of hope. One more food creature and that's 8 copies right there.
While resilience to removal is always a consideration for me, I tend to evaluate cards assuming they won't be removed as I believe the likelihood of a threat sticking around at least for a turn or two is generally greater than that of it being removed--even in cube where removal is plentiful. This matches up pretty well with how I play too. I tend to play as though the opponent doesn't have the counter, removal, etc. because odds are they don't and if I'm going to lose, it is going to be because they beat the odds and not because I held back for fear of an answer they may not have. To be clear, it doesn't mean I'm going to lead with my primary threat when a player is holding up UU or overextend into a wrath.
In terms of Master of the Wild Hunt vs. Wicked Wolf that means I expect that more often than not I'm going to get at least 1 wolf from Master and if that holds true then Master has the capability to fight nearly as well as Wicked Wolf after just 1 turn and after two Master is MUCH better. This is just one axis though, creating more bodies has a lot of additional implications that push Master well beyond this card.
If you want to use your own made up custom system to evaluate cards why not just rule that real Food can be used for Wicked Wolf. Throw a Zinger in the trash to make him indestructible. Or make them flush it if you're pretty sure they'll fish it out of the waste basket later and eat it anyway.

I agree. I like the direction green is going in Eldraine but I think the most interesting card is Once Upon a Time even though it's definitely too inconsistent.
I'm not totally sure why Wildwood Tracker couldn't just be perma 2/2 if you have a non-Human. That would make it much better for us but still highly questionable.

This is probably the one thing I completely agree about -- Preserver is generally going to be a superior beater to Ooze or 'goyf.
Nein.

Yeah that caught my attention as well.
