Would have been nice to get something like this for the BS i went through ordering the SDCC promos, which were exactly what people went through trying to order this....
This is a lot about who you are playing against too.
I have a UBr control deck that I play and I take my turns quickly. There is not that much more thinking.
Could be the people you play against don't pay enough attention to click "pass" right away when something comes up, or lag on their end (or yours) makes it take longer for actions to occur.
The problem is the "meta" is based primarily on what you play. I switch between three decks right now. If I play my Jeskai Control(ish) I play against a completely different pool of opponents than I do if I play my B/G midrangey deck. So if you dont like the meta, just play different colors.
Has this been confirmed or is it just everyone's own "confirmation bias"?
5000 gold gets you a draft and a guaranteed 4 packs (the 3 you are drafting plus one no matter how poorly you do if I remember correctly, could be wrong about that extra pack). Not only that, but are choosing from 15 cards rather than the 8 you get from buying a pack (or whatever it is). On top of that, you have chances of getting multiple rares as the bots pass things based on their draft AI. Plus the chance to earn enough gems to do it again.
I have gone 0-3 or 1-3 plenty, but I have also done plenty of times where i win enough to do it again. So that 5000 gold turns into 8, 12, etc packs.
I am not saying the economy in this game is good (it is not), but based on how the economy is, I say drafts are your best bet to build a collection.
You do not get 3 new quests daily. Each quest refreshes every 24 hours I believe.
I spent $5 on the welcome bundle, which I would say is worth it as I used the gems to do the sealed Ravnica event which I ended up getting enough gems to do again about 3-5 times before I lost out. After that I built up a decent collection for the most part. I have a UBr control deck I have fun with (no rare lands for it though), and a UW deck with a twist I did that I am having fun with. Other than that I save up for limited events and play those, I think it is the best use of the in game gold as you have a chance to just keep going.
I was not interested in this product so did not try, but what bothers me after reading this is the EXACT same thing happened with the SDCC walkers for me this year.
I was one of the first people in (was corresponding with a friend at the time), my order went through, got a confirmation number (my friend still had not gone through with his order then), and went about my day.
My friend messaged me saying he got his email and I started thinking I never received mine. Went online and no order in my profile. I then called and was told that I was S.O.L.. I would not have been as mad in that situation if the item had just sold out, but the fact was I went through the order process, had my order confirmation, and my bank was even showing a pending charge on my account.
One local store here gave out the promos this weekend instead of next weekend. The only partners my team got were the promos, not a single one out of our packs....at least our promos were the walkers
I don't know about anyone else, but I wouldn't mind Jaya in my Feldon of the third path deck so I can dig deeper and throw big threats into my graveyard (granted I am not a cutthroat player), I wouldn't mind her in my Neheb deck either, ditch useless lands to dig deeper for that big burn spell.
2. Launch Party Promos will be two-card packs.
There are twenty-two promos, some with alternate art and all with foil treatment, and they come in two-card packs. The card pairs will interact with one another, and they will go in players' decks. You'll see what we mean closer to release.
Core stores get 16 packs (32 cards total); Advanced and Advanced Plus get 32 (64 cards). You'll issue one pack to each to each team.

Card number is 14/89, is that in the commander product?
