I do not believe unbanning Preordain or Ponder would be good for the format. Unlike Jace, one mana cantrips as powerful as these will always find homes in multiple decks across the format. They are strict upgrades to cards that already see moderate play: serum visions and sleight of hand. I would prefer to see new cantrips that do not obsolete the existing ones. Opt is a good example of this. It has both advantages and disadvantages to Sleight of Hand and Serum Visions.
Splinter Twin could easily come back. I would welcome it with open arms.
The next announcement is tomorrow, but it will not involve modern. A deathrite shaman ban in legacy might happen, or perhaps even some legacy unbans like Mind Twist (what is that still doing banned??)
Deathrite shaman is too strong even for legacy, but my reasoning for keeping deathrite is it increases the number of fair decks in the format. I honestly don';t want to see a huge spike in the number of unfair combo decks (especially dredge)
Does Desolate Lighthouse have a place in the deck? I saw Sjaak de Vlaming play it in the GP and he made day 2, and it seemed to work really well for him. He had Spell Quellers too.
I personally really like Desolate Lighhouse, but we have search for azcanta now. Its more of a meta game call. I feel field of ruin is just so much better if you got colorless utility lands, but I wouldn't say you're wrong if you play desolate lighthouse.

I think we still want to stick to Relic. Relic has good usages against the Grixis Shadow matchup.
