Taking even a small amount of damage from your lands and sometimes losing to blood moon makes this statement objectively false. Maybe you think the splash is worth it, that is worth discussing. I just recently bought into GB elves in paper, I'm currently only missing Caverns and I play just one Canopy.
But what I wanted to discuss is that I heard and saw Jeff Hoogland piloting the deck and advocating playing additional 4 dorks(Deep Shadow) in the place of Nettles, saying that Nettle is a "win more card" and that Shadow allows for more keepable hands. Yet I find Nettle better than ever mainly thanks to the new Clancaller lord effect, because Nettle has a bigger body. So what is your opinion on that? Maybe it was already discussed here and I missed it. Also excuse my english.
Edit: I play 3 nettle/1 Shadow split as of now, dunno if that isn't hurting the otherwise streamlined deck s bit.
Nettle Sentinel got even crazier with Clancaller. Dont think Deep Shadow Elves are that much needed unless you play mostly black SB (Thoughtseizes, Leylines, Pushes) but then you are dilluting the aggro creature deck too much with noncreature spells. -

I've never taken throne of the god-pharaoh out of the deck, it never disappoints. In addition to being just great in general it just beats cards i hate losing to, like worship and ensnaring bridge. I'm currently on 2 and have been happy with this number.
I also still love god-pharaoh's gift since i started playing it, it just gives the deck a big splashy artifact to use all the extra mana. It provides free wins vs heavy control decks and isn't really awful against any decks, the challenge is just getting to resolve one. -

Also I don't want to question your choice, but isn't Witchbane orb little bit beter than orbs, being 4 CMC, I obviously don't know your metagame though, just been wondering since it has a similar effect. It's possible that it had been discussed in this thread before and I just missed it.
Anyway, I just relised that The Antiquities War exists, I can imagine it in the SB, mostly against control, though there might be better cards like new karn. Dunno, maybe in the signal pest version the third effect might be powerful in slow matchups.
