I'm a long time lurker of this decklist. I absolutely love this deck, with the synergy, speed, and the explosiveness. Not sure if you've updated your decklist with the recent sets that has rolled out.
I was wondering what you think about Vizkopa Guildmage and Vito, Dawn of the Dusk Rose. On paper, if I play Vito on turn 4, then Ikra on turn 5, someone will be taking a lot of damage, and essentially does double the damage (or more). And if it survives one more turn, use Vito's ability to give everything lifelink, and watch people die. Granted, I play a bit more spot removal than you, which might work out better in my list. Vizkopa Guildmage is a similar idea, and I need to test it a bit more.
I also added Emeria's Call, which actually helped me win a game, when I drew 3 mana dorks from my Tymna trigger. I also have Agadeem's Awakening in the deck, which helps me recover after a board wipe, and doubles as a land when I don't need it. Losing 3 life isn't that bad in this deck, for the flexibility that it brings.
I'm really hesitant to remove Woodland Bellower from my list. I usually keep it in my hand, until I get board wiped. Then I play the Bellower, tutor for Eternal Witness, and grab another threat from my GY. Then play Tymna and start drawing cards again. How's your experience with it?
I play Genesis Wave in a similar way, to rebuild my board.
I've also took out Oracle of Mul Daya for Dryad of the Ilysian Grove. The 4 mana on Oracle has always seemed a bit steep, and I feel that there's enough redundancy with the effect. Though it can't play lands off the top, I think I can live with that, and not revealing every card I draw to my opponent.
Also really interested in how Underrealm Lich has worked for you? Five mana seems really steep. I've progressively decreased the cmc of everything over time.
I control Thantis, the Wareaver and Master of Cruelties. When I enter into my combat phase, how do these interact? Would Thantis force me to attack with everything, which means Master of Cruelties can't attack?
Hey there, hope you can help me with this question:
I control Marisi, Breaker of the Coil and Oracle en-Vec. I use Oracle's ability on my opponent. My opponent chooses none of their creatures. I then attack and deal damage to that opponent. During my opponent's turn, both Marisi's goad ability and Oracle's ability will come into effect. So would my opponent's creatures be able to attack this turn?
Also, would it be different if deal combat damage first (triggering Marisi's ability), and then use Oracle's ability?
I control Gigantoplasm that has copied a Sun Titan. I used Gigantoplasm's ability, and changed its base power and toughness to 8/8. I cast Clone, copying the Gigantoplasm. So now, Clone becomes a Sun Titan. Would the Clone enter the play as an 8/8, or a 6/6?
Was wondering...in an 4 player game, my opponent casts a tempting Wurm. One of my opponents puts a Avacyn, Angel of Hope from their hand into play. I putClone from my hand into play. Can my Clone copy the Avacyn? Or is the Avacyn not considered "in play" when my Clone attempts to copy it?
I attempt to cast Nevinyrral's Disk. My opponent sacrifices Glen Elandra to counter the spell. When Glen Elandra goes to the graveyard, it will trigger my Glissa. Can I return my Nevinyrral's Disk back to my hand? Or has the Nevi Disk not been countered yet (and hence, not in the gaveyard for me to return)?
Hey, just wondering about the following commander scenario:
Jenara, Asura of War is my commander. She is in play. An opponent casts Ixidron. When I deal combat damage with my face down Jenara, does it still count as commander damage?
I control a Grizzly Bear, and control no other creatures. I cast Momentous Fall. Can my opponent respond by killing my Grizzly Bear, resulting in the Momentous Fall fizzling because I am unable to pay for the additional cost? Or do I have to pay the additional cost upon casting Momentous Fall? Thank you!
Hey there, was wondering about the following scenario:
I control Willbreaker. I cast Blessed Reincarnation, targeting my opponent's Grizzly Bear. This triggers Willbreaker. Willbreaker's trigger resolves, and I gain control of Grizzly Bear. Then Blessed Reincarnation resolves, it sees that the Grizzly Bear is no longer a creature that an opponent controls. Does Blessed Reincarnation resolve as normal? And will I get to reveal cards in my library until a creature is revealed?
Hi there, have a question regarding a strange board state.
I control Varolz, the Scar-Striped and Reyhan, Last of the Abzan. I attack with Varolz. I use his regeneration ability to sacrifice Reyhan. Reyhan's death ability triggers, placing three +1/+1 counters on Varolz.
The question is, whether Varolz is still in combat, and waiting to enter into the combat damage stage? Or is Varolz removed from combat due to the activation of his regeneration ability?
