Also, I'd consider Heartless Summoning because why not make Eldrazi good again (pre Eye ban). I like the idea of throwing up my hand.
Yeah, TKS would die to bolt but most everything does. Reality is still fast and smashes. Distended can be a t3 play. Deep Field can still win you the game if played right.

I play 61 cards for a 23 land count. I always play 61 for an extra land. I blame Merfolk and the not-so-new mulligan scry rule. 23rd land will probably be a Swarmyard, because it's ALL-IN (but also saves Lazav for 1)

I was considering adding Liliana for the Tarmogoyf count. Maybe Thoughtseize to side?
sadness - It's 3 colors and kills Mutavault. if there were a way to find more cards that could thin out a 3rd color, it's possible to bring it back.
Hex Parasite out of the side destroys Affinity, planeswalkers. I love that card.
I think I'd try and curve it and get some draw. Then, use Dryad Arbor and Aether Vial.

No matter what you do, your first lord isn't hitting the field til turn 3. That sounds so bad.
I guess you could trim back on the lords and play early zombies. but you need to have a lord in play so they don't die once you play Heartless. Relentless Dead is eh. Could set up Diregraf Colossus/Gravecrawler (B: create 2/2 zombie mana sink +heartless -lords).

I haven't tried Sphinx's Tutelege and Painter's Servant yet. Trying to work out the interaction part of the game in the maindeck then movies to other focuses.
I realize it's crappy parts to a crappy version of storm but I like milling people so I don't care.
Played a few times. Won some lost some. I didn't realize til mid-game that Jace only milled 1. Debating a just going to Mesmeric Orb and playing more of a control version using blue draw discard.
I hate Blood Moon but this is the type of deck that needs it. Play it til it's banned.
Thanks and no I haven't tried any of that because I've mostly been working on the BR version. I haven't been going too deep on the mid-range just because I was hoping to trigger Extort a few times a turn. Biggest issue has been the draws. It needs more. Maybe cheap cantrips but then you're weakening the deck and playing cards that aren't really that good on their own. (not saying the creatures are to begin with).
I may get away from Extort and go with value lifelink creatures, Seeker of the Way being one of them.
List is very rough and untested, just a first draft.
Grim Lavamancer and Soul-Scar Mage have pretty sweet synergy together so if you're on the more aggro version I'd definately have a close look at them. And if you're looking to maximize Adeliz, don't forget about Manamorphose.
But then I got to looking and saw Extort. I was going to play with the Blind Obedience because it has uses. But then I added Thrull Parasite and it came through vs Tron. He had just exiled my Concealed Courtyard and I had three Thrull on the bf. They killed Karn. Lolled so hard.
Anyway, it's been fun. May need more self discard but it's not as important as it was with Fiery Temper and Alms.
I'll probably take out Tithe Drinker for some discard to help vs combo. May also put in some Disenchant or Leyline of Sanctity in the sb. I don't know.
Honestly, the deck is 1 decent drain effect from being any good (hence the use of extort) but I did beat UW Control and Tron.
It can get stupid. I discarded an Alms to Liliana with three extort triggers for 12 point swing. Next game I Collective Brutality an Alms with two extort for 14 point swing.
I let whatever attack into me and save my kill spells for lifegain. Haven't seen Sisters yet otherwise I'll be adding Vizkopa Guildmage. (no i won't).
Any thoughts, they're welcome. It's not really competitive but it's fun af.

Problem: All but 1 cost 1BB (Lord of the Accursed being the exception).
Is it worth making a deck? I mean, you can play 20 lords so each Lord is like a Muscle Sliver. But now you've gotta worry about card advantage.

Naban, Metallic Mimic and Sage of Fables. (both wiz etb with additional +1/c, Fable for mana sink for draws)
Double (or more) +1/c's on wizards lol. Probably focus on some evasion like Stormchaser Mage Wingcrafter... Get to four and Glen Elendra Archmage (sb maybe)

The Core: Sovereign's Bite, Alms of the Vein, Collective Brutality
At first, I jumped in red for Fiery Temper, Lightning Bolt, Faithless Looting (madness) and dabbed with Vexing Devil and Hellspark Elemental for sneaky damage. Beat 2 burn decks and that's all I cared about. Then, added white for Lightning Helix for another drain effect.
White opened me up to some other drain cards: Kambal, Consul of Allocation and Souls of the Faultless. Sideboard cards vs control or creature based decks.
