VolrathTheRisen (Sauron's Forging / Ring of Power): The flip side has some problems. How do creatures you control block the equipped creature you control in order to gain deathtouch?
Because of this bit: "Whenever a legendary creature deals combat damage to a player, attach Ring Of Power to it."
This totally triggers for your opponent's creatures too. When their legendary creature is in its moment of triumph, it can't help but pick up the ring. Then shortly afterwards it gets surprisingly killed off by your mooks. Because the ring wants to find its way back to you.

Sephon19 - Revrak Nagul
SAC: CMC6 to get either a vanilla 6/6 and two free creature drops or a monogreen ticking time bomb towards wiping out their lands is... rude. Feels quite basic for a Mythic. That said, this is very green in a rather old fashioned way. 3/5
VIL: Would WotC even consider this guy a villain? I like the unexpectedness of a monogreen beatstick archvillain though. 3/5 TOTAL: 6/10
Stille_Nacht - Them
SAC: It emerges without tricks. It has shadow. It replicates unless you deal with it in an unconventional way. If you don't regulate it, it can go exponential very quickly. BUT it's not all that quick at killing you from scratch if it puts you on a clock, and most kill spells can at least stall it. So it's an unconventionally challenging threat but it's far from insurmountable. 4/5
VIL: Utterly fantastic. Everyone else went for an unsympathetic "celebrity" planeswalker, you went for the faceless interplanar equivalent of grey goo. This is genuinely creepy & mysterious, so even though They start off as a total blank slate there's a lot of storytelling to be done here. This would be a wonderful change of pace for the MtG storyline & I'd love to see it play out. 5/5 TOTAL: 9/10
Subject16 - Lim-Dûl, the Mastermind
SAC: I like the synergy between the abilities, but somehow it's a flavor let down that the ultimate just... kinda kills everyone's face. I really love both the +1 and the -3 though, especially as a long time player of hand kill decks. I'd play this so clearly it can't be bad! 3/5
VIL: Pretty unsurprising, but I do like Lim-Dul as a character so I'm okay with this. Not sure how you build a storyline about this though? Like, does he dig up (out of print) terrors from Dominaria's past? If so, more of a nod towards that in the abilities would have been nice. Like, maybe let him make snowy Juzám Djinn tokens as his ultimate. Or something. Everything's fine here but I'm just not feeling you can get a multi-block story out of this. 2.5/5 TOTAL: 5.5/10
TheRavenManIsSquee - Tezzeret, Lord of Phyrexia SAC: Whoa. That's one hell of a mixed bag of abilities. He's so SMALL for a mythic planeswalker, in terms of his starting loyalty & the increments he can gain. Feels a lot like a win more card. By the time the Horrors are of any decent size, you're either overextended or already dominant. The midrange ability is a toolbox but a very slow one. It's hard to read the ultimate as anything other than "Win a duel which you could have won ten minutes ago". I feel like I'm really missing something here. 2/5
VIL: It has Phyrexia written on it & it creates good old-fashioned black Horrors, so I'm going to like it! I just wish it was Mishra (or even Gix) not Tezzeret for the greater sense of unexpected villainous grandeur. 3/5 TOTAL: 5/10
graffd02 - Gideon, Unhallowed Lich King
SAC: It has the original Liliana Vess ultimate & I'm honestly not sure whether that's intentional. I really like the addition of deathtouch to Gideon's signature ability to turn this into a graveyard stocker. 3/5
VIL: I would be giving this a much higher rating if only it had the crucial "This can be your commander" line of text. As an archvillainous planeswalker that can turn into a creature, it REALLY wants that. A fallen hero as an archvillain makes me happy too, especially as Gideon was always hardhearted enough that this reenvisioning of him as a sort of cross between Gerrard & Crovax is a real hit with me. 3.5/5 TOTAL: 6.5/10
Sorry if my ratings for most entries seem a bit downbeat! I just love the obvious winner SO VERY MUCH that everything else looked a bit less exciting by comparison.

(Just realised the problem with this entry. Ah well, not going to change it because reasons.)
I'm considering starting a thread called "The Judge Is Winner".
At the start of every round, one person submits a new card design.
Then everyone in the game suggests their own idea for a challenge which that card could have been submitted for, and judges it under the rules of that challenge.
After a while the person who started the round reviews the judgments & decides which judgment they liked best. The person who submitted that judgment then creates a card design to start the next round.

It's an overcooked reference to this bit, basically. Because apparently that's the sort of thing which makes me laff.
It doesn't make its wearer invisible though. It's "only" a ring of power, not the One Ring.

Ant costs G less to cast if you control a creature named Ant.

I think it could be quite successful.
