Never happens though. Yoinked? By the time I get her out, and she doubles my mana, next turn I can drop something massive, or mass manipulate two PWs. The doubling of mana really solidifies her place
Again, my point still stands. Card ain't hexproofed it can be yoinked, and it can be removed, countered, discarded etc.
Anyways bro have at it, keep that narrow minded tunnel-vision.
- This may be crazy, but have you considered playing Karn, the Great Creator? You could move the Akroma's Memorial to the sideboard and tutor for that or Damping Sphere/Relic of Progenitus/Pithing Needle using Karn's -2. Hitting Karn off of Genesis Wave also seems more doable than one of the Akroma's Memorials.
I could buy the Karn idea, seems easier to get to and pulling artifacts from the board gives extra utility.
She is a very good card, but she's not unbeatable. Fast aggro decks like monored tend to run over decks she's in. Control decks are able to counter her. Because her static relies on a specific land type (Forest) it influences your deck so two color is pretty much the max she can be in. And of course if you drop her turn 5 and your opponent has a Bedevil, contempt, or elder spell you haven't gotten much out of her.
That being said she excels against midrange and once resolved against a control player is outstanding.
Plenty of other removal can kill/slow her down. Also she can be yoinked...
Here's my current Elf deck (I call it "The Mother of All Elf Decks" on TappedOut). I was waiting to rebuild it after Modern Horizons came out, hoping that Elves would get some love. Sadly, they did not. I still want to build Elves, but not sure which way to go at the moment. I'm thinking of mainboarding Heroic Intervention as the deck's most serious weakness is to board sweeps—now, of course, it bounces back better than most from that, but it's still a consideration. An early sweep is far more troublesome than a later one, and Heroic would fairly easily negate that. I used to run Lead the Stampede, but ended up going with an experimental build in Genesis Wave. This has won me games (though I have yet to tournament test it) many times: X=7+ is absolutely savage and easy to manage. Hits lands, creatures, and if Akroma's Memorial comes with it (or I have already put it out), everything can go that turn. They can attack with flying, vigilance, trample, protection, etc., then all tap for mana to fuel Ezuri's power.
The idea was to have redundant win conditions. Marwyn, a very underappreciated card, has my favorite Elf art and is also a mana-producing wincon-enabler, and can herself turn into a wincon as she powers up. Of course, Ezuri is the classic method of Elves getting so strong they tear planes in half and beat opponents with each piece. Joraga Warcaller is also another great mana sink, especially with Cavern, and also further enhances Marwyn. I can hard-cast Akroma's Memorial or get it off of a Genesis Wave, and it also turns my Elves into beaters even without EZ E.
Winding Way now merits some consideration, and the sideboard definitely needs help here. I'm not sure what to sideboard. Damping Sphere and the like, I think, but I wanted to sort out the main 60. I've considered Primal Command both for grave hate and for getting its other uses.
wouldn't call in mother of all elves decks but just a different take on the beatdown deck.
sideboard is really dependent on the matchups you run into the most.
Pelt collector is a beast with all of the potential 3 power 2 drop creatures. Nullhide Ferox is great as a second 4 drop. With so few non-creature spells it's non-creature ability doesn't hold us back. If we have 4 mana to play it, we have 4 mana to play a lightning strike if need be.
The deck can struggle a bit with all of the double green cost creatures. I'm considering putting in a Gruul Guildgate in order to help me hit my jadelight rangers and Thrashing brontodon on time. I'm also considering a Merfolk branchwalker to help with this as well.
I went down from 3 Kraul Harpooners to 2 a little while ago. Kraul hasn't been as necessary lately.
I'm beating out most "mirror" matches, definitely mono-red, any kind of merfolk or aristocrat nonsense. Still struggle with esper control although I have been netting some wins there too. Mono-white is the worst match up. Thankfully I'm seeing much less of them these days.
I'm doing the "pay 500 gold" to play bo1 mode in Arena. I've been consistently making it to 5-7 wins with 3 losses. Just mining away here...
Anyone else playing bo1?
There is no good call there on mana, because you have no ramp besides domri, the only thing you can do is go to
Her value is just insane and (beside maybe Liliana which takes longer because black doesnt have the ramp green does) is one of the only cards that once they hit, if you dont have hard removal for it it's game over. After getting stomped anytime I ran into one of her decks, I built one myself and I am amazed this deck isn't everywhere. I have about a 70% win rate with it right now. It's nearly unstoppable against most decks besides maybe Esper Control, but still consistent against that. Honestly, the only way I lose is if I dont draw one of my Nissas by like turn 7 and am facing a fast aggro deck. Her value just takes a deck from meh to an unstoppable force - double mana, endless creature creation (with vigilance and haste mind you) and she takes two turns after you drop her to hit her ult. If you get her early along with some ramp you can have her out turn three and if you do, it's GG. I feel dirty playing her, because it feels like a card that they let slip or something. Like it's TOO good.
I digress back to my original statement before decklists were posted...
These are ideas I had, I've been working on the Midrange version more, have to get more input on superfriends version. Hard thing about the superfriends version is the control matchup and early ramp. Only trouble I have been having with Midrange version is sideboarding. Chandra is hard to fit in.
Also not sure Light Up The Stage makes sense here. Really wondering what other card advantage options we have in Gruul package.

Also surprised Beast Whisperer didn't bring this thread back.

meanwhile would any of these work as sideboard?
Gaea's Herald
Life Goes On
Tormod's Crypt
Wren's Run Vanquisher
Primal Command
Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen
Planeswalkers:
Nissa Revane
Nissa, Vital force
Don't think the plane's walkers will work out but just curious.

8 forest
7 mountain
and run 16 forests and 15 mountains which is good enough to hit all the creatures on curve.
I do play some BO1 but really have started to move onto BO3, BO1 is diverse and gotta kill the enemy really early.
Meanwhile I have tweaked the midrange deck.

she's not overpowered for 2 reasons.
1. She's not big Teferi Teferi, Hero of Dominaria
2. She's not lil Teferi Teferi, Time Raveler
nuff said.

Light up the stage is a real easy cut there.
Superfriends deck needs work but I'm not a control player so have to fail that one a few times before it starts to make sense.
I wonder if Living Twister works...Card seems really insane against white weenie and mono-red.
