This is seriously the dumbest conversation y’all are having. If you don’t want a product, don’t buy it and move along.

If you have an issue with representation you need to deal with some personal things and move along. Stop creating issues that are yours alone ha. This community man...
what happened to being excited about things for a game you play. No ones making you do anything.
Ah but you can't just use the tired "Not every product is meant for you" line as this one is tied to a charity. So by not buying it, you're not supporting charities. Unless that is, you decide to donate $25 to those charities in March.

I'm not saying you should, but you are really in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation with this particular SL. Laugh

No one is in a “damned if you, damned if you don’t” dichotomy. It’s a completely made up dilemma.
Ah but its not made up.

If you don't buy this OR don't donate to charity, that says you don't support charity events according to other people.

Also if you don't buy, if price trends for singles from past lairs are to be believed, then you would have to pay more for individual cards from this secret lair than if you had initially bought it. The only one excempt from this, is literally the goblin one called "<explosion sounds>".

No one will be judging anyone else for not purchasing this product.
Only sith deal in absolutes. Saying no one would judge you is so blatantly wrong. We as humans judge people all the time, even on a subconscious level.

No, not every product is for every player, why does that logic not apply here?
Because its tied to a charity which also benefits other people than yourself. Other ones were purely for the sake of the buyer.

And based on your own words, you would not bother buying a secret lair and in turn donate if it was to help support other types of charities such as "Doctors without Borders" or "Cancer Prevention" if that was what the secret lair proceeds were going to.

You are damned if you do buy this, as you support wizards. You are damned if you don't support a charity event. The only work around is literally going out and directly donating to that charity without supporting wizards for an amount of at least $25.

You can rant, you can rave, but don't blame us consumers for pointing out what is happening here. You call it *****ing, we call it pointing out the cold hard facts.

I just want fair pricings. shocking, i know
Well that train has long since left. Originally booster pack MSRP costed $2.45, aside from Chronicles which was $2.25.

In September 1995, Wizards raised the price to $2.65. In October of 1999, the price rose to $3.24. In January 2004, $3.69. In Septemeber 2006, $3.99. In 2019 they abolished the MSRP.

The best selling ones will be ones like Eldraine Wonderland. As they are going to be the equivalent of the Guru lands in terms of expensive basic lands. Lands in general sell better than anything else because everyone needs them. Old school duals used to cost something like $4-20 now they are worth close to a thousand dollars.

Unless its a secret lair with lands, it has at best a questionable market unless its artwork centric, like cats.

If you spent $299.90 on (10) Eldraine Wonderland, your return on your investment would be $629.60 as of writing. (10) because that was the limit given, unless you literally made extra accounts. It is only a bad investment if you're a MTG player, not a Finance player.

Nobody is arguing its a bad card. Most people are arguing it isn't ban worthy.
I didn't say people were judging it as bad, I said people were judging it in a vacuum and they were like clockwork as usual.

But your argument here is that with several support cards, Purphoros can kill the table with a few token generators.
Yes most commanders use several support cards to get their job done. From the lowest to the highest tier and even the banned ones are based on their support cards.

I mean, you blather on about the supposed poor logic of other posters for pointing out that there are many answers to the card
Because they are engaging with poor logic.

Like, how many more cards is that than whatever 2 card combo you could have used instead? Don't complain about people "squashing" your opinion when your posts are nothing but calling people illogical, hyperbole, and irrelevance.
What is even this irrelevant non-argument you posted? Laughing As you want to talk about "don't complain about people squashing your opinion" when you actively engage in it like predictable person I expected to grab on. How about actually getting back to the topic buddy.

I demonstrated some information like math and card combinations and you come at me with nothing. Because what you wrote was in pure haste.

The vacuum logic from so many hauling out their trusty clubs that they like to use as a catch all for these types of discussions. These clubs like counterspells are so poorly thought out that by the logic of everyone packing counterspells and that there is always a deck with blue that even the power 9 could be unbanned for commander because they obviously aren't problems if everyone is seemingly packing their deck with 50+ answers. As so many talk and talk of how you just need [X] answer like everyone must obviously have that 100% of the time at the ready. Oh and there is plenty to complain about in Commander, but its honestly hard to get an opinion in here without the squashing. Laughing

Not one person acknowledges how Purphoros is actually built with cards like Impact Tremors, Panharmonicon, Dictate of the Twin Gods, etc. Mostly because they view Purphoros in a vaccuum and think "oh its only 20 creatures" when actually its more likely to be 10 or 13 creatures to kill a table. As it only takes 1-3 token producer cards to actually kill the table when you got one of those amplifiers out. Then factor that decks that treat their life total as this massive buffer for cards that deal damage to them or cause them to lose life as a cost. If Purphoros only needs 10 or 13 creatures, with one amplifier, then everytime someone does the Shockland to effectively shock themselves and lowered the number of triggers Purphoros needs to kill that player. Which for Purphy, one activation means he just needs 9 or 12 creatures now

The deal with creatures is that the context is so important...

To make a reasonable mono colored deck work against a broad field of decks, it has to do something especially broken to compete with multicolored cards on a powerlevel alone.
I agree with this as well, perhaps blue is simply meant to be a support color for card draw unless you build around them - like Snapcaster, etc.
Is given a counter point showing an aggressive tribal merfolk deck, doesn't acknowledge it since it doesn't fit narrative of "blue is supportive color".
