Stickers stay for as long as the card remains in a public zone. Putting a sticker on your Commander for example permanently adds that trait to the card as it dies and goes back to the command zone, but said sticker "falls off" the moment someone casts a Cyclonic Rift and you decide to return said Commander to the hand. WotC said that the stickers are very similar to Post-It Notes and thus should be easy to add and remove plus they should be fairly reusable.Quote from DarklingScribe2 »Interesting that there are cards that are eternal legal that use stickers. Are the stickers removable? If not, is it legal to place the stickers over a card sleeve? I’m asking because presumably putting a sticker on a card and then shuffling up that card for another game would be considered playing with marked cards since the sticker would slightly increase the card’s thickness in that spot.

Then again, coexisting means being exposed to things you might not necessarily agree with.
Exactly.
I think this has already been mentioned, but it's really hard to coexist with other people who don't want you to exist at all. There are some attitudes, opinions, and behaviors that don't get a pass under the auspices of tolerance (or free speech), and bigotry might be at the very top of that list.

And the ones she's defending are people who violently oppose that. You can't live together with people who want to kill you for your differences, no matter how accepting of them you are. -

No, because Wildwood Scourge cares about "another non-hydra creature", so it can't trigger off itself, even if it's not a hydra anymore. If you have two of them, both mutated into non-hydras, and then put a +1/+1 counter on one, then they'd go infinite... but not in a good way. Since they don't have "May" in their card text, they'd lock the game in a draw after all that setup, unless you have something to sacrifice one at instant speed.Quote from DarklingScribe2 »Quote from Raphael_Aleixo »If I mutate a Wildwood Scourge and then cast another copy of the Hydra, it would go infinite, right?
I was wondering this myself and I think that it will go infinite, since a mutated creature only has the creature types of the topmost card.
702.139e A mutated permanent has all abilities of each card and token that represents it. Its other characteristics are derived from the topmost card or token.

I like that is isn't just protection from creatures with that converted mana cost. If you want to launch a kill spell at Haktos it also has to have the right converted mana cost.Posted in: The Rumor Mill
Also, Give us "Patroclus" so we can send Kynaios, Tiro, Haktos and him to gay brunch at the Nyx Cafe. =P - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I agree, it seems like they are establishing a pattern with Vorinclex in Kaldheim and Jin-Gitaxias in Kamigawa where every winter/early spring set will have a surprise praetor or some other reference to New Phyrexia. Which probably means that the actual return to New Phyrexia (or new phyrexia doing a full-on invasion of a different plane) is a few years off.
If I had to guess, the upcoming Brothers’ War set is being done more or less because WotC wants to return to the first storyline where Phyrexia was introduced to introduce new players to the phyrexians and lay the groundwork for Phyrexia’s return as the game’s central villain.

Emrakul, the vampire eldrazi.
(Felt like someone had to say it, even though it’s not going to happen)

And since sarcasm seems to be a lost art these days I feel compelled to say, no, I’m not being serious.

Edit- I just realized that mutating onto Wildwood Scourge and then casting another isn’t the same as casting it with Enduring Scalelord on the battlefield. Its triggered ability is missing the “may” that scalelord has. This means having a mutated scourge on the battlefield and then casting a 2nd scourge ends the game in a draw since the player cannot stop both cards from infinitely triggering eachother unless they have a removal spell, sac outlet or stifle effect.

*(“Almost” because x can be a downside in some fringe cases, for instance prey upon can still be cast with Gaddock Teeg on the battlefield.)

Basically they don’t have to do on the spot judgements on card quality or keep track of mana curve and creature/spell ratios. While to most people those things is what drafting is about, there is something to be said in getting new players use to playing limited decks with brand new cards without the complications of deck construction.
I’ve seen a lot of new players draft, then go 0-3 in matches and blame themselves for how they built their deck. While their deck construction ability is partially to blame a lot of their losses are also due to making bad decisions while they played. In essence I think there is a tendency for new players to learn less from their mistakes when playing after drafting if they decide to place all of the blame on their own deck construction rather than their gameplay.
