Ive been messing around with a RB Skewer inclusive deck that only focuses on getting a turn 3/4 win through quick creatures and "Lightning Bolt" type cards
idea of the deck is build around a t3 win ideal situation:
t1 - play mana + swiftspear or guide and hit (for life -1 or -2)
t2 - play mana + use t1 swiftspear or guide to hit + "lightning bolt" + "lightning bolt" (for life -9 or -8)
t3 - play mana + use t1 swiftspear or guide to hit + "lightning bolt" + "lightning bolt" + "lightning bolt" (for life -13 or -11)
Hi guys, my first post actually! GB Elves got me into Modern, am having a lot of fun tinkering to make Beast Whisperer work.
I've been messing around with this build. It's a very "pure" take on the BW win condition, even cutting the Ezuri as backup.
Most of the times when I went off with the deck it was because of Heritage+Nettle. At least 1 Chord felt vital for when I couldn't produce any black for Shaman. Nykthos I put it mostly as a back-up for when I couldn't tap anymore with Heritage. Maybe too pure of a build.. no CoCo because it doesn't get BW, always felt bad when I had to put it on the bottom. Am trying SP to grab BW, but honestly I'm using it more as a hail mary and losing because of it. The one Forest and Swamp is a personal preference because of the dominance of Field of Ruin in my local playgroup.
