End of opponent's turn, all your artifacts become Karnstructs? I think that'd work, right?

Urza makes artifacts tap for U, Yanling makes islands tap for cards. Blue seems to have some real boundary issues.

I suppose I could hope for Greensleeves. Garth One-Eye would be a fun surprise too.
Greensleeves would be awkward, she isn't a planeswalker… but she also is... and she summons creatures but doesn't control them...

How would you even begin to do that? Garth is NOT a walker, but his power level is higher than neo-walkers and he uses all 5 colors... such odd characters to try to make cards from.

The face cards don't need to be planeswalkers, you know.

It's interesting that they say there's no problem with implementing it when they know things like this are going to be printed.

I would think at 6 mana, if her emblem is a danger to you, you're probably going to die anyway. Right?

It has more to do with making Magic more "photogenic" on streams. Less chance of players doing nothing on early turns.

I really hope it has the planeswalkers and all but it's actually them playing the game itself just so people can make youtube poops where everyone is a horrible cheater.

Jace: "I play Divination. It allows me to draw two more cards! *Footage loops to make him draw 4 cards*. Now I summon my Guard Gomazoa-Guard Gomazoa attack his lifepoints directly! It allows me to draw two more cards!"

Nicol Bolas: "My move. I play a-

Jace: "My move! I draw two-THOUSAND more cards!"

Screw the rules, I have mana!

neat art. Looking forward to Core 2020.
Maybe we will get another good Chandra card?

I hope there would be more support for snow in this set.

If they decided that Snow Basics were too "powerful" for Standard, it's unlikely we'll see Snow Permanents. And this goes for people hoping for Viking World with Snow too.

It's a little more complicated than that. The removal of MSRP and launch of this product at such a stupidly high price for retailers pretty much let online retailers set the price for boxes of this set. And because the internet is full of stupid people, the idea of $200 boxes being the norm (and anyone charging more being depicted as gouging) spread like wildfire before the set was even released or retailers even knew what they were going to charge for them.

I don't blame Hasbro for anything aside from removing MSRP. If they hadn't, the MSRP for this would've been in the area of $300 and retailers would probably be a little more confident about ordering it because they wouldn't be losing as much money to the online sellers.

Why on earth should this set be $300 a box?! That's absurd!

Cards in this wouldn't be as expensive as they have been pre-ordering for had pricing not been through the roof. This should be like $4 bucks a pack max and $100 a box.

    This isn't a masters set.

That's how MSRP works. It's typically in the area of twice what a manufacturer charges the retailer for the product. Retailers are paying ~$170 per display for this. So the MSRP would've been ~$340 if WotC were still setting MSRP.

So while it's higher than a normal booster product, pricing for this has been NOWHERE near "through the roof" since most retailers (online and brick&mortar) are taking a massive loss on this product and charging in the area of $200 a box for it. It's still ridiculous, and if you think singles prices for this set are bad now, just wait until the impact of retailers under-ordering this takes effect. This entire thing is one giant mess for nearly everyone involved EXCEPT WotC, and what's worse is that WotC will blindly call it a success down the road.

And let's face it, the only thing that makes this not a Masters set is that WotC chose not to call it one. But it most certainly is.

I like the set, just the price seems too high. I'd have sold this at 150 and printed more.

It does seem a tad bit high. They very well could and probably will print more as this set is "print to demand". I've noticed prices creeping down on booster boxes as we speak as well.

I think it's WAY overpriced. Not much here tells me this should be much more than a regular box. These pack prices are pushing prices of the singles to silly levels. At least they are coming down a bit, but false perceived scarcity will ruin this game. Charging $10-12 a pack to draft this set is really a punch in the face.

No one should be charging $10-12 per pack to draft this. $8-9 is the expected price.

But hoping boxes drop too much below $200 is foolish as they never should've been that low to begin with, considering what retailers are paying for them. This product is a nightmare for game stores that don't focus mainly on Magic. Despite being print to demand, there might be artificial rarity due to a lot of stores just not ordering much of it because it's impossible to actually make a profit on it.

Sadly $30-$35 seems to be the norm around here.

This is Hasbro setting the secondary market. They are taking all profit away from retailers. Not a good move for anyone.

If Grenzo or some unknown future card that cares about what’s on the bottom of a player’s library warps the game too much, the simplest solution is for them to change the mulligan rule so players shuffle their cards away rather than tucking once they decide to keep their hand.

Or just ban the offending card in the format it is warping Smile

If you have to ban cards because of a mulligan rule, it's not the cards that are broken.
