Oh, and if you were getting these for $4 a pack, you were lucking out. Retail - or what would've been MSRP - should've been $6 a pack. Anything less was a result of retailers willingly losing money to sell something they didn't really need to lose money on. My stores ordered near its maximum and we were completely sold out by end of day Saturday, selling them at $6 a pack/$139 a box, what would've been the normal MSRP for these.
Aw man that stupid greedy people/no more msrp has hit this now
Now it’s 150 a box now it’s $6.25 a pack
That’s still much better than master sets though since those were 10 though and atleast it’s still a unlimited print run product (print on demand)
Ok, again, MSRP WAS NOT A LIMIT. This happened when WotC still set MSRP. MSRP has NOTHING to do with this. Stop saying that it does.
This is a result of supply drying up and product becoming more scarce. It does not matter if it's a print to demand product - right now stores CANNOT order more because no one has more to send them. Prices will go up as a result because demand is still insane for these.
It's retailer exclusive, not LGS exclusive. They can't really do an LGS exclusive thing that avoids online resellers since they also have physical storefronts. At least not without barring online sales, which is another load of trouble.
Oh I’m so dumb there may have Ben a prediction and I didn’t even realize it
How about the finishing the lair cycle with wedge lair lands
And commander 2020 can reprint the other 5
Ooh! Ooh! Wait. "Lair Of Behemoths" has the word OF in it! So I predict a cycle of split cards linked by the word "Of". Like... Waste//Time, or maybe Leap//Logic.
I still think they're monocolor. They're meant to replace Planeswalker decks for the set, and they're mechanically tied to Ikoria. I don't think they're going to make these too complex.
Where have they said this? As Im aware the planeswalker decks are moving to being core sets and this is the "yearly commander decks" we normally get in late summer/ fall just tied with a set this time.
They said it in the article where they first announced them. Same with the Zendikar decks.
And they've been doing four decks for years. Suddenly they're doing five again, and replacing an entry-level product with them? Yeah, I'm sticking with the mono-color idea. Could be wrong, we'll see.

It's from the Historian, so of course he's reporting on old news.

It's probably just going to be reprints of big creatures, not found in Standard.
They really hype up the tradability of these, and larger sized cards just aren't all that tradable, no matter what they are.
