Cancel/Catalog is not good and 5 mana do both is not great either. So yeah it really comes down to the clone effect but it costs 3 which is a lot and only targets a creature/artifact you control. And Glasspool Mimic learned me this is a significant drawback for a clone effect.
Generally speaking I find modal spells to be victims of power creep so I am not sure the hype is jutified here.
I think it deserves a spot on a power level perspective but it is very annoying in practice because this is a card you should always side out when on the play which is very problematic at least on paper.
A little off-topic but I think Get lost is really bad. Note that it has abysmal stats on 17lands and Cube is not that different from limited as its gets more and more creature centric.
This reminds me of Assassin's Trophy, which was very overrated at first.
Bonus Question: for a 540 powered cube, are kodama's reach / Cultivate too weak ? (It seems to be the general consensus but I found them still playable)
Don't have much experience with Reckoner Bacnckbuster but I played a lot with the other 2 and to me Mazemind Tome > Treasure map (we cut the latest recently). Mazemind Tome is good because it does cost any mana to activate.
So I fear activation cost of 2 of Reckoner Bankbuster is too much for powered cubes.
I think Dimir and Azorius(either Colonnade or the new one) are effectively the best manlands and the least penalized.
No other manland is a staple in my opinion and I feel I lost more games due to them entering tapped than winning by activating them.
And I did not test Surveil Lands but I would not be surprised that they are overall better than Manlands.

Hard to evaluate the plot impact on the card evaluation but at least if plotted + creature follow-up it passes the vindicate test.
Tourach, Dread Cantor vs Concealing Curtains // Revealing Eye vs Kitesail Freebooter vs Dread Fugue vs Dreams of Steel and Oil vs Collective Brutality
(for the latest I have more and more doubts, I find it not to age well)
So all tier 2 discard creatures / spells to rank
This reminds me of Assassin's Trophy, which was very overrated at first.
Fall from favor or Fealty to the Realm ?

I had it in a sealed pool and it was not very good so I fear it won't make the cut in powered cubes even if card's design is sweet.
So I fear activation cost of 2 of Reckoner Bankbuster is too much for powered cubes.
