I love my spell version as well. Wilderness Reclamation is too strong a card to not take advantage of.

This is why in my build there's 4 Revitalize, 3 Plaza of Harmony and 4 Hydroid Krasis. Burn / Aggro matches can be rough at times, those really smooth things out. I think I've only won off of a large Krasis once, they usually eat removal against non-red decks, they are specifically for the psuedo revelation effect that potentially leaves behind a blocker.

This is what I've been running. It's been fun times. Those people saying to mix the nexus deck with this...there's absolutely no reason to run nexus in this list, it's really nothing but an extra draw. It's not a lock, not a planeswalker ticking up, nothing. But that don't mean you can't completely wreck the day with a combo-esque finish with Wilderness Reclamation into Explosion.

That's a pretty sweet list. I definitely like it.

I run one main, namely for card advantage. I'm referring to versus control.

Those aren't trying to achieve what he's trying to achieve.

Dudes a joke, and it's hilarious. Please don't take him seriously.

Since they've put in traditional ranked on mtga, I'm sure that bo1 ranked is going to be 100% rdw, so this will be my goto if I decide for quick games. I did enter my list into a Bo3 event and the few matches I ran against control I lost game 1, but won the matches. Dawn of Hope is where it's at, my friends.

Game 1 - RDW - Completely run over by turn 4.

Game 2 - RDW - Completely run over by turn 4.

Game 3 - Rakdos Aggro - Run over by turn 8. Their deck was a little slower, but no chance to really interact. They had answers for everything I could put down and I couldn't draw answers fast enough.

Game 4 - Dega Aggro(with Divine Intervention?) - Kind of a weird token aggro deck they were playing, neat stuff. This deck, again, had little ways to interact with it. Just wasn't working for me at all, and I actually got to make it to close to end game.

Game 5 - RDW - Deck actually worked pretty good for me, was able to make a few good tempo plays, drew out all of my DoD plus an early Hero of Precinct One helped (that and his draws were awful, only 1 burn spell all game). I didn't even win by the premise of the deck, I outaggroed him and won with 8 life remaining. I'm sold, however, that if he'd of spent his lightning strike on my hero and not my face I would have lost.

Game 6 - RDW (burn variant) - Another red player that wants to go directly face instead of playing properly. Turn 6 revenge completely destroyed him, but again, if he'd of used his burn defensively when I was the aggressor I wonder how different the match would be.

There's 6 games on MTGA Play mode (non-ranked...was kind of hoping for a better appropriation of standard with less RDW but you see how that worked out...). It's a really neat idea, but unfortunately it's a coffee table idea, not a standard one. The format is too fast for it to grind the way the deck wants to which makes me sad because Twilight Prophet is really one of those cards that you just wish was good but the Ascend requirement makes it fall on its face. In all 6 games I was able to cast 2 (all in that Dega game) and in that one I wasn't even able to get Ascend up and running.

Just figured I'd take a quick look on it considering I had all the cards except for Hero (which I wanted anyway so I quickly nabbed 'em). Don't think I'll keep up with it in its current shape. I'm not sure what would need to change to make it a bit more viable against red (considering that's what 90% of what I play against on mtga >.<).

I don't think it's failed at all. Chalk it up to variance. Midrange is usually a pretty good matchup too.

I really like the idea of chalking the board up with immortal sun and dawn of hope against control, too. Haven't looked into the thread in a few days and missed it. I like that touch.

I made some slight adjustments to my list. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm pretty sure it will be alright. Removed the cast down's and the golden demise plus 1 Eldest Reborn and added an additional Kaya's Wrath (still need more but unsure what to cut), 2 Consume, and went up to 4 Mortify although I might drop back down to the cast down, I'll figure that much out after play testing.

As mentioned, this deck folds pretty bad to control. Your only real hope is to jam duress and hope to protect your win cons with it. Dawn of hope is particularly good against Azorius but is awful against Esper.

My win rate versus Golgari is decent. Carny T is fairly easy to deal with in these colors. My biggest fear is Vivian, and you really have to play around her. I'd say that my win rate is around 60%, which to me is worth running.

Selesnya Aggro I would say I've had a decent time against it although I have only played a few matches against it (not quite as common for me, I face mostly r/x). Try your best to save your settles for March.

My won rate against red, boros and rakdos is insanely high, it's really what this deck is built to counter. 4 wrath will be something I'll probably build to.

The no more than 2 of was dawn of hope, btw,not wrath

You've already somewhat mentioned it, but this folds so hard to cleansing nova. Most decks that run cleansing nova also hurt pretty bad when they use it because it'll wipe their bindings, seal aways, etc, but this deck gets hosed by it so badly that it's worth it. On the bright side, most decks that DO run them are dropping them for better removal against aggro, which nova is fairly poor at when looking at Kaya's Wrath, Settle the Wreckage, Golden Demise, etc. I really like the premise, there's just a few cards I'm not sure I'd want to fool with in this build.

Discovery // Dispersal isn't something I would want in here with the only way to cast Dispersal being with treasure tokens. I would almost drop your RW lands for UB / UR just for that reason or drop Discovery // Dispersal altogether. 9 times out of 10 when playing on the map plan, I'm using those treasures for card advantage and the occasional ramp, not necessarily to get a random color that I can't depend on further down the line.

There's a lot more I could add but I'm waaaaaay tired and about to fall asleep. I'm not trying to dog your idea in the slightest and it's peaked my interest enough to invest time in a long post trying to put in a few of my thoughts, which I'm sure I'll put more time in later. Let me know how testing goes. I might be in the position to throw it in Arena this weekend and grind and tweak on it a bit this weekend.
