Thank you for replying!
The link to that thread and your insight regarding deck changed were very helpful. I did not even consider Damping Sphere or Kambal as potential cards in the deck! They will certainly be making their way into the sideboard.
I will need to consider the other suggestions a bit more, especially Tidehollow sculler: my main concern is that it may just die before the absence of the removed card becomes relevant.
This deck is a lightly upgraded version of a budget deck that Seth once played on MTGgoldfish named Abzan rites.
The deck functions fine due to its robust design and versatile nature but I am at a loss on how to fine tune and improve the deck, especially in the sideboard. If anyone has tips or suggestion in this regard, please feel free to comment and leave something.
P.S.: I understand that the land base certainly could be better, but I am a poor boi and am unable to buy verdant catacombs. If anyone is interested in mailing me 4 of them, please contact me.
Sideboard (15)
3 Acidic Slime (additional artifact and enchantment hate / land destruction)
2 Drown in Sorrow (poor man's damnation)
1 Knight of Autumn (sooooooo goooooood)
3 Plaguecrafter (good against tron, Jeskai control and some others)
3 Extirpate (That's a tron killer right there)
3 Nihil Spellbomb (nuke their graveyard, not ours)
(please, if you would like to not respond to the post, at very least vote on the poll shown above so I can get a little bit of information about the deck as opposed to none.)
You need better creatures to bring back. The ones you have are fine, but you need a bomb or two that either end games or is mass removal. Angel of Serenity is a good budget choice. Craterhoof Behemoth and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite are my choices though.
Thank you for the suggestion! Angel of Serenity is a card that I have never considered. Certainly seem's like an interesting option. I'll have to consider it further!
