I've been goldfishing with Prodigy, and it seems good, but I had to cut some copies to make room for Anarchomancer. Time will tell which is the better additon.
So what are people's lists looking like now? I thought I had mine figured out and now with this new card (didn't realize it made CoCo cheaper, changes everything) I need to rework my list. How about you guys?
I like it, but it doesn't trigger on either Burning-Tree Emissary or Rix Maadi Reveler. Wondering how the deck should change to include him, but I think he'll have the same issues Metallic Mimic had, you want to pull him out first then play things, which generally results in him dying on the cast.
The card I'm pretty high on right now is Once Upon a Time but will need some testing to see if a free spell is actually helpful or not.
The problem I have with Tilonalli's Skinshifter is the fact that it is good in only 1 situation: if you copy Rage Forger. Other than that, it doesn't feel good to play. Most of the creatures in the deck have ETB effects which it misses, and there aren't any good enough effects to copy. So it just has haste and gets to copy your largest creature, which is probably a 2/2 or a 3/3.
So I've been lurking on here for years (never had an account though) but I decided to take Shamans to a GP (now called "MagicFest") in January.
With that being said, I'm trying to build the best build out of what I have and what I can easily get. I have a couple questions though:
1. Why has Green always been considered the dominant color when the best one drop and win condition are red? (Flamekin & Rage Forger)
2. Why wasn't Adaptive Automaton ever played more?
3. What was the consensus on Collected Company and Atarka's Command in the builds of the Gruul deck?
And yes, I realize that everyone wants another really good one drop. I get it. (I personally like Spikeshot Elder as a way to deal with Human's Meddling Mage but this is the deck I know best and the deck I have. I appreciate any help you guys give me.
Also, I apologize for not knowing how to link cards.
