Seems like a complete monster in EDH. Rarely are planeswalkers worth much in EDH and this guy is a beast, because Gaea's Cradle is a house in EDH and this guy is essentially a Gaea's Cradle.

But when Brainstorm and Jace put them from your hand back on top of your library, and Force of Will makes the card usable even if you don't have those, running 3-4 is not out of the question.

That's basically it in a nutshell. RnD admits they don't test legacy extensively. Library manipulation is very popular in legacy, and this card will be hateful in Ux tempo decks. They might ban brainstorm, but its this or brainstorm. Without brainstorm in the format, its fine. That leaves only Jace and Top to effectively abuse it.

Its almost an 8 Mana Yawgmoth's Bargain, which at 6 mana is banned across the board. Now the 8 Mana Yawgmoth's Bargain will not see legacy play because a 5 mana Yawgmoth's Bargain exists.... Ad Nauseum.

That said, he will be a retarded EDH general that will hated for years to come. I'm confident that turn 3 consistent wins are totally possible.

Avacyn + World Slayer has to be Timmiest combo in the history of magic. For 18 mana you and your angel with a world ending sword win the game.

    Go Go jank edh combos.

Ad Nauseam" target="blank">Ad Nauseam in Black is a monster. Being the out and out most powerful combo card in the format.

Consecrated Sphinx is king for Blue imo. Mystic Remora is tech though.

Horn of Greed is a monster in Green, and so is Fecundity in the right decks.

    White? People run white?

Wizards designs each sets to have cards that appeal to each demographic of players, while being balanced for limited. This card is both a great Casual card, and a HUGE bomb in limited making it fill booth requirements nicely. If you want to complain, complain about bad commons that fill no niche, and the excuse for their printing is to "test skill" which hardly seems realistic when you see it last picked at a prerelease, straight on through to set's rotation.

I'm 99 percent sure this card was designed for EDH. While its a cute tooth and nail target with Triskelion, it doesn't really have much competitive potential. It will certainly be a popular general in EDH however.

Sweet Workhorse is an infinite mana combo.

Oh the +1/+1 hrrmm.... well needs a sac outlet.

So Makaeus and any persist creature and a sac outlet is an infinite combo right? Sounds like EDH fun, unless I'm somehow mistaken.

Strangely its weaker then regular Garruk at 5 cmc, I mean regular garruk provided the most powerful resource in magic mana.

So 3R destroy target Grim Lavamancer. I don't know how good Planeswalkers are in a format with that guy in it.

The Dial is neat, never more then a 1 of as far as I can tell but it would be cool to have in limited as it can screw up your opponents combat tricks. But probably too narrow as people can simply play around it. Some Johnny will do something with it casual as part of a 20 card combo.

As far as I can tell its an inverted warp world. Warp world rewards having lots of permanents, this rewards having less. Seems like choas EDH deck fodder though.

Why does everyone think this is incredibly broken..? It handicaps your land count up until you get it's final ability off..

If you're leveling it up every turn:
Turn 1: Drop this. You have one generic. Level 0.
Turn 2: Drop another land, tap it, bounce the land. Two mana. Level 1.
Turn 3: Drop another land, tap it, bounce the land. Two mana. Level 2.
Turn 4: Drop another land, tap it, bounce the land. Two mana. Level 3.
Turn 5: Drop another land, tap it, bounce the land. Two mana. Level 4.
Turn 6: Drop another land, tap it, bounce the land. Six mana. Level 5.

Why does everyone scream this card is broken? Yes, it's great against an Armageddon and what not, but what does that do? I have a hand full of land. Oh boy. Now I have to start the same slow process all over again. Also remember, that every land you bounce, is a possible land you draw, and that starts filling up your hand.

IMO, not bannable, but a great card for things like Sunburst.

All this, assuming I'm not mistaken. A little buzzed, though.

This is not how you play this card at all.

You play it as your 6th land, tap all your lands for mana bounce them, for a sweet 4 mana boost which puts you at 10 mana. Then you use that 10 mana to cast Cataclysm, or Time Stretch, or Tooth and Nail. In EDH that is a problem because you this could be happening on turn 4 or so.

In standard it's a different game, because you can hold back the land till someone is tapped out, the play it and blow them out. Almost all control mirrors would resolve around this play.

Trust me, it's good, too good. Wizards would never EVER print this card.

    Let see,

Obviously a bit too good for EDH, because you know of cards like Cataclysm, Winter Orb, Primeval Titan, and Tooth and Nail.

It would send shock waves through standard. Unless Tectonic edge was in the format, else wise you could never tap out past turn 5 for fear of getting immediately blown out.

I think standard is what would make this card a definite no go.

Legacy/Extended its fine. There are sicker things that can be done.

    Kitten.
