I also am leaning towards prism. But running prism I also want to make use of it. I was thinking 3 prism, 4 whir, and 2 tezz agent BK in the main. Good news is with this ban there really isn't gunna be much artifact hate out there. Besides karns.
I think oko is good and all but thopter sword alone was enough to win many matchups and just wins on the spot with urza. The deck has moved to more of a mid-range control deck than a prison combo deck witch I think was way cooler.
Hello old friends. This chat has been pretty dead since thopter sword went tier 1 with urza.
Been watching a lot about the deck and worry about an upcoming ban eventually.
Also was wondering why the switch to goose and oko over the combo?
The deck is getting more recognition than ever and the forum dedicated to the deck is dead. Crazy.
So how have people's results been? Any new changes.
Is it preferred with or without mind stones, serum visions over chromatic star or vice versa
I will say having urza to make prisms into Mox sapphire after it's drained is pretty cool and it feeds 3 to his ability is nice but late/ mid game it'll always be a *****ty draw.
Pretty damn good results nobodys. Hogaak is a problem on 2 fronts for us in that it's a really strong deck that can win through multiple angles and we get splash hate from other decks. Everyone seems to have a playset of leylines sb now. I mean its obviously not an auto lose but it's really annoying and definitely weakens our deck
Deputy only hits opponents stuff where detention sphere hits yours as well. Like in a mirror u could take out their foundrys and leave yours on board same with bridge, urza, thopters, ect
Nobodys, have u tried your list with a few karns mb? I asked kanister on his stream and he said it wasn't worth it unless you were running 3/4 but I feel it might be. We run a lot of bullets side anyway and he gets them as well as Getty BK something that's possibly been surprised surgicaled game 1. And if your going off and wanna close out the game that turn have a ballista side to snag also there's always lattice.
I also liked the idea of running spine. It's a nice catch all.
Yeah, that's the one.
Kanister also played it and tweaked it to u/w/r. Watched like 6 hours of his game play. Much better player than olive. I like some of his changes, some not so much. Pyrite spellbomb is nice but the do nothing but draw artifacts weren't. There's already astrolobes and a bunch of tutors. Making it all in without any other interaction isn't really what I wanna be doing.
Nobodys, have u tried like a 2 of Karn mb? His usefulness is pretty nice. Run lattice, sieve, and ballista side. He'd allow u to snag ballista when going Infinate with urza for a non aggro win, if u have thoptersword and no urza snag sieve from side and win. And then there's lattice and other toolbox artifacts.
I'm waiting for urza to drop in price before I pick mine up. So I haven't had a chance to test your list or it's variants. I foiled my deck and I'm solo not dropping $800 on a set of urzas.
