Defense Grid is totally usuable mainboard depending on metagame and preference, I just prefer silence.

Lord Nahkiin - Grinding Station is super interesting, in that it allows us to run more ichor wellspring type cards. Definitely something to test for.

user 24144553 - 2 responses to what you said in your arguments.

    1. Although Whir does not net mana like reshape, mid combo it essentially reads 0: add a lotus to your graveyard.

    2. Although the artifact intereacting lands are interesting, not being able to thin your deck more with GQ could hurt wiff percentages in the combo.

Someone pointed out to me that chart a course could be an on color replacement for faithless looting. Could be something to test.

Noct - Thanks for the tips, I'm really not familiar with mtgsalvation at all lol

Basically instead of [[mox opal]] I have essentially more [[lotus bloom]]s through 7-8 [[reshape]], finding it very easy to get 3-4 and combo off. I never really bothered with mopal because I find that 1 extra mana every [[faith's reward]] or [[open the vaults]] to be inconsequential. I also have [[faithless looting]] mainboard to discard [[lotus bloom]]s that would otherwise be stuck in hand. It's certainly one way to take advantage of [[open the vaults]] compared to faith's reward.

mr_scrambles, how much success are you having with 6 reshape effects mainboard? I'm currently using 8, but I could really use the flex spots if less will still work

This is INCREDIBLY impressive for being made in one day.

This is the list that I currently run.

Under alternate win-cons, [[altar of the brood]] does not target your opponent, and functions as spellbomb in the regular end loop.

I started playing Magic in Return to Ravnica. I don't remember how I discovered it, but I soon became my go to hobby, slinging spells with my friends and drafting on Fridays. 2 Professional tournaments got me into MTG concretely though, Pro Tour Dark Ascension and Pro Tour Return to Ravnica. To this day, I am a fervent fan of our lord and savior Brian Kibler, and I wish I was playing modern at the time and was able to experience Eggs. Years passed, and my interest in Magic waxed and waned, but no matter how uninterested I was in it at any particular time, it was always a part of my life. I began to follow the MTGSalvation Primers of Post-Ban Eggs, never posting, just lurking underneath. I watched a rough-hewn version of Eggs with Phyrexian Rebirth and Wargate morph into Faith's Reward and KCI, and then Trawler and KCI. I was so happy that KCI was the direct progeny of Eggs. Only a month ago did I actually build the deck, but I followed its success and retinkering since the beginning. I am content with what it accomplished in its short lifetime, and I am happy to see what engines Eggs will use in the future. Sayonara, dear friend.

Here is the Eggs list I have been running for over a month. It doesn't have a lot of flex spots, and it will never be top tier like OG eggs or KCI, but I am hopeful at its promise.

copies 5-8 seem really good, this could be the next hardened scales

I have done a hell of a lot of testing, and I am making eggs instead. KCI lacks explosiveness without mox, and the eggs deck is jankier and more consistent.

EDIT: More consistent than non mox KCI that is

Im trying to hedge into this deck, but for now I want to make a more budget friendly deck without mopal and EE. In place of their slots I'm running 4x Mishra's Baubl and 2-3x Everflowing Chalice. Without Mopa, is it possible to do the spellbomb loop? Or should I use self-replicator instead, which is obviously worse but works without Mopal.
