Hmmm maybe to just avoid confusion about whether you could normally target a creature that died in combat? Which double checking it definitely looks like you can. Oh I see, with trample raise deading itself might be a little much, swing, trade a creature and get him back from his own ability would be pretty strong.

Seems like flat was talking about recurring ONE card over and over. A 1 card recursion engine is way different from a 2-card engine.

One point I will give to No mercy is your opponents can still attack each other making it more political.
When you play Moat you may make your opponents a lot more frusterated and all gang up on you.
I want to second this point that if you want to sit back early in the game you need to allow other people to do their attacking. If you play Moat or magus of Moat they will be frustrated and more likely take it out on you.
I'm surprised you keep posting to let people know an emblem is better than a permanent. Of course something that cant be interacted with in any way is good. Unfortunately you need to play Serra to get it, so the only way to analyze the emblem is to analyze Serra as well.
To expand on why we dont know, its because typically we get the store with the block, but for the last 2 sets the stories have been slice of life non-walker inhabitants on Ravnica. They are saving the PW story for the book, so no one really knows the details of his grand scheme until that comes out.
