Conor Oberst is damn near the most insperational song writer of his genre; bright eyes isn't anything but excellent. Sad, drunken emo boys are the shizznit.

This format as a whole is VERY grindy and dependent on two-for-oneing your oponnent on a regular basis. If you run out of gas with decks like this and Red Frenzy running around you will get blown out of the water nearly every match. For this reason alone I do not think one drop creatures are needed in this deck aside from if you choose to go the Llanowar Elf route to ensure turn 3 Chupacabra's or turn 4-5 relic seekers, though if you're slamming relic seeker that early you're probably doing something wrong. That being said
NOT PLAYING RELIC SEEKER IS A MISTAKE and we do not need 4 main deck Trophy's. I feel the correct direction with this deck is grinding your opponent out with incremental card advantage and finishing with Planeswalkers.
Enough spot removal thats cheap and early on is essential as we don't want to let decks like Mono U wizards get under us early on and out tempo us. Cast Down should be no less than 2 of in the main deck and I personally am finding Dead Weightto be good for those match ups.
With the rise of GW tokens and its prevalence on the meta not playing some main deck board sweeper is feeling like a mistake. If you choose not to run Find/Finality a Plague Mare in the main deck will still help you win games you would otherwise get blown out of.
My updated decklist
4 Llanowar Elves
4 Merfolk Branchwalker
4 Jadelight Ranger
3 Ravenous Chupacabra
3 Golgari Findbroker
1 District Guide
1 Plague Mare
3 Cast Down
3 Assassin's Trophy
2 The Eldest Reborn
1 Find//Finality
1 Treasure Map
Planeswalkers: 6
3 Vraska, Relic Seeker
3 Vraska, Golgari Queen
4 Overgrown Tomb
4 Woodland Cemetery
8 Forest
8 Swamp
Main deck Plague Mare because tokens are everyone on arena and I'm playing Treasure Map instead of Blood Fast as the loss of life I feel is too much and map combos well with Vraska. I'm still not 100% sold on Llanowar Elves as this deck wants to get into the mid-late game every game and top decking elf feels terrible, but there are games where you start with a T1 Elf and completely blow your opponent out early on so i'm a bit torn.
4 Briefing seems too high and no Ravenous Chupacabra seems wrong.
It helps ensure getting land drops and puts dudes in the bin for Findbroker/Eldest Reborn. It might not be worth it and instead Branchwalker could be better but I'm not sure yet. I've yet to actually play this and I should have it together sometime later today.
4 Llanowar Elves
4 Thorn Lieutenant
3 Glowspore Shaman
3 Midnight Reaper
2 Blood Operative
2 Ravenous Chupacabra
2 Golgari Findbroker
2 Doom Whisperer
1 Carnage Tyrant
3 Assassin's Trophy
2 Cast Down
3 Vraska's Contempt
1 The Eldest Reborn
Planeswalkers: 3
3 Vraska, Relic Seeker
Land: 24
4 Overgrown Tomb
4 Woodland Cemetery
4 Memorial to Folly
2 Field of Ruin
7 Forest
3 Swamp
Some thoughts; Nullhide Ferox is absolutely everywhere or I would be playing Price of Fame instead. I think Price is just better in this metagame with as many legendary cretures are being played between Boros and Selesyna and I would rather not have to use my Trophy's on Ferox because it feels super bad ramping them into their 4th/5th land dropo.
I would like to make some room potentially for Plaguecrafter but not more than a one or two because I generally think the card is weak and it's testing like absolute ***** in every other deck I put it in, even ones that synergized. Just not a fantastic top deck and playing a 3 mana sorcery speed edict feels really bad.
Everyone is sleeping on Midnight Reaper. I even play 2 in my GB stompy since it helps grind through your opponents wall of dudes and makes all of your opponents removal a lot worse.
Playing Relic Seeker instead of Gorgon Queen because imo Gorgon Queen is pretty much garbage in any deck that doesn't take advantage of token or death triggrers. Simply running a mild recursion engine isn't worth it.
4 Pelt Collector
4 Thorn Lieutenant
4 Merfolk Branchwalker
4 Jadelight Ranger
4 Steel Leaf Champion
4 Doom Whisperer
1 District Guide
2 Ravenous Chupacabra
2 Vraska, Relic Seeker
Spells: 7
4 Assassin's Trophy
3 Vraska's Contempt
Land: 24
4 Overgrown Tomb
4 Woodland Cemetery
12 Forest
4 Swamp
I would like to run some more removal that isnt dependent on 4 mana or ramps my opponent but Cast Down has been underperforming with the prevelance of mono green stompy and card Price of Fame has just been god awful against anything NOT mono green. Also, as you can imagine the control match up is not very good. I would call the UW/Turbo Fog match up neigh unwinnable unless they stumble on mana or are bad. Any suggestions would be great.
And yes, as far as manacurve and power level goes this has to be the greediest deck I've ever put together.
4 Pelt Collector
4 Thorn Lieutenant
4 Merfolk Branchwalker
4 Steel-leaf Champion
4 Jadelight Ranger
4 Doom Whisperer
3 Vraska, Golgari Queen
Spells: 8
4 Assassin's Trophy
4 Vraska's Contempt
Land: 25
4 Overgrown Tomb
4 Woodland Cemetery
4 Golgari Guild-Gate
9 Forest
4 Swamp
This is what comes off the top of my head as a shell.
Ravenous Chupacabra, Plaguecrafter, Underrealm Lich and Llanowar Elves I would liek to fit into in some number but unsure of what I do and dont want at 4.
I would play gates over evolving wlds since we don't need the shuffle effect for anything anymore. Also forgot to mention that Cleansing Novais a pretty good reason along with StW to bring white into this. The core of this deck is very solid, the addition of a third color will probably only be needed until standard is solverd, which shouldn't take very long.
That being said the mana base isn't going to be as hospitable for Jeskai and the WW needed to play wreckage/boros cards. I'll brew something up in the next few days and post a decklist once I have access to play magic again.
