Idk, it might work okay with Loleth in that situation. But, me thinks that most times you ordeal your dude, he will be removed before you get your 3 +1/+1s

I really like the looks of BW humans with Xatrid Necromancer. With primarily humans. What do you think of the card Cavalry Pegasus, it's only a 1/1 flying for 1W, but when he swings he gives all attacking humans flying. Seems alright. Also Vizkopa Guildmage has some nice synergy with Path of Bravery and is also human

I'm just curious on how this card type 'Enchantment Creature' or even 'Enchantment Artifact' interact with something like Tarmogoyf. Is it a separate card type to boost him?

I know cards like the gods, such as Erabos, require additional means for them to become creatures on the battlefield. But are they both enchantment and creature in all zones? Say I had some sort of tutor that called for a creature only, could I still fetch one of the gods, even though they are only situationally a creature while on the battlefield?

Similar question, I just started playing again after a 2 year break. So, I am quite rusty. Because it doesn't target, you could still cast Crypt Incursion while Underworld Cerberus is on the battlefield?

I think it could be good returning dudes like Sire of Insanity or the new Underworld Cerberus or whatever it is. Mono black is still not viable, especially when we have other cards like Rakdos's Return
Or I guess Cerberus is exiled already, well if it get's countered, they get to deal with it again.

Aggro does like skill to be good, but it's far easier to play for beginners than control is. Control thrives on skill, without skill you won't know what to do, where as with aggro you just play creatures and beat in. Control needs strategic decisions.

Monsters are the best. period. I've tried three ring binders and they aren't good in a lot of ways, cards fall out, cards get bent, they don't look cool and so on and so on.

  • posted a message on So how was your game day?
In the same day, I managed to top 8 at 2 different game days in 2 different cities 1.5 hours apart. The first started really early and the second really late. But it was an awesome day, so busy. Played Jaceless UB control, took a lot of criticism from more "experienced" players for playing 4 Frost Titan and 4 Wurmcoil Engine, the 8 high cost cards didn't have a negative effect on me at all, throughout 12 rounds(3 top 8) in 2 tournaments. I went 3-1 in the first tournament and started 3-0 in the second tournament and was able to draw the last 2 rounds and still make it. Made top 4 in both, and lost. But at the end of the day I managed to trade for 3 more Tempered Steel promos, and 4 more Memnite Promos for a total of 5 Tempered Steel and 6 Memnite. Didn't have an affiliated deck, but no one did. They just gave out the Striders for nothing so I managed to be standing at the front counter when he threw them out for taking so I grabbed one of each, lame non-promo cards. My guess is these things will be worth like 30 cents untill the set comes out, then like 8 cents after that, terrible promotion Wizards, terrible.

  • posted a message on A couple situations
Here are just a couple situations I'm not sure of.

Situation 1: Player 1 attacks with a 5/5 with deathtouch, player 2 for some reason declares he/she will block the 5/5 deathtouch with 5 vanilla 5/5s. After player 1 chooses the order the blockers receive damage, how many creatures can the 5/5 deathtouch destroy? I'm under the impression that only 1 creature would be destroyed because as far as I know for damage to be dealt to the next blocker, the first blocker needs to be dealt lethal damage, so after the first blocker takes 5 damage it is destroyed, but I guess what I might be wondering is, would 1 deathtouch damage be considered lethal damage?

Situation 2: Player 1 is at 6 life and controls a 6/6 with lifelink, player 2 attacks with 4 2/2 creatures. Player 1 declares he will block 1 2/2 with the 6/6 lifelink. So during the damage step would player 1s life total hit zero, thus losing the game, before receiving the 6 life from lifelink?

Alright, so those are the situations, there are no cards in particular I'm talking about so I have nothing to tag.

  • posted a message on best planechase deck?
None of the decks are that great, you can play with any deck if you want, as long as you got some plane cards. The R/W one is pretty popular because it apparently has a lot of EDH staples. I've played with them all against each other and it seems that the R/W and the Black one are likely the strongest.

  • posted a message on DeckCheck.net shutting down
I was actually thinking about how much Wizards cares about the players a couple of days ago. Being a college student now, I guess I'm not able to spend much on Magic for a while. I wanted to build a deck that would get great benefits from Jace 2.0, but the card is ridiculously expensive so I didn't by it, nobody will trade for them because when people get them they either hold on to them for their own use, sell to the stores who in return charge ridiculous amounts for them or if they are nice enough to trade them, they want half your trade binder for it. So I asked myself, "Why Wizards? Why must you print ridiculously good cards that fit into just about every deck at the Mythic Rarity?" And the only conclusion I could come up with is so players would by more product to raise their chances of getting cards like Jace 2.0 and Primevel Titan. Not only are they expensive to buy, you don't have high chances of finding one. So the only beneficiary to the Mythic Rarity is Wizards. I remember when they first came out and they pretty much said that they wouldn't be printing anything that would be widely used as Mythics, well they did. It was a whole plot to earn themselves more money. It just makes me mad, not only can most players not afford to buy the cards, the power level of the cards are ridiculous. Primevel Titan could still have been good if it ramped basic lands, but no, get your Eye of Ugin and your Eldrazi Temples. Don't get me wrong, this is still the greatest card game of all time and I don't plan on quitting, I just feel like it's going in the wrong direction. Proof is these 3 sites shutting down.

Really just any artifacts that are good, Mox Opal, Etched Champion, Mimic Vat, and Lux Cannon to name a few. Any artifact creatures, Liquimetal Coating. Of course, Trinket Mage I guess. It's a great card, but I'm sure it will be more playable when the next set comes out, assuming it has a lot of artifacts in it and at least a few are playable.

I would only recommend 3 Outfitters, only because it's a generally bad card unless you got an Armor out.

  • posted a message on golem foundry?
yeah, the foundrys are good in draft, nobody picks them which is a plus. I managed to grab, 4 Golem Foundry, 2 Contagion Clasp a Steady Progress and a Thrumming bird in the same draft, it helped me make it to a top 2 split. It's really not a bad card at all. As somebody mentioned, it reminds me of Tome Scour, not at all great, then you end up with six of them and you play 3 a game and your opponent is crying. Man, blue was powerful in M11 draft. I think the best colors for the Golem Foundry deck would be R/W though, hopefully picking up some Galvanic Blast, Chrome Steed, Glint Hawk and Ghalma's Warden. Glint Hawk could be powerful wih them just to pop another artifact back to add some more tokens, and of course to beat in the air. And if you pick up a Auriok Edgewright, that would be a sweet bonus.
