Heck yeah, Jolrael! It's too bad she doesn't have much synergy with her Spellshaper card. I guess they both like having fuller hands and a ton of lands open, so they might coexist in a deck, but they don't really help each other.
Preciesly why I will run her spellshaper in the 99. Basically if you want both to work together you have to think of it as fusing a Jolrael, Empress of Beasts deck and a Multani, Maro-Sorcerer deck. Empress cares about untap tricks, so with her half you are looking at cards like Vitalize, Benefactor's Draught, Early Harvest, and Wilderness Reclamation. While , Multani cares about hand size and card draw and so with his half you want things like Praetor's Counsel, Rites of Flourishing, Shamanic Revelation, and Traverse the Outlands.

Well that is going to be my next commander. Going to need to get me that extended art as well as its one of the rare times they don't do a weird squish to try and make it fit but actually end up cutting off some of the art for it.

So, Basri is just Gideon without that silly wrist blade thing?

Basically, he filling in the role of a more combat focus white walker Gideon had, but is more of a go wide than Gideon one man army feel. Funny enough that ends up treading more on Elsepths space.

Other than the fact that he himself doesn't become a creature, he seems pretty much Interchangeable with the 4 mana Gideon from the last Zendikar block. Boost a creature, grow the army, really grow your army. I do see what you mean about going wide and Elspeth, but it would be nice if we could see something brand new for a White 'walker.
They talk on and on about how they wanted something different from Elspeth and Ajani, Gideon wasn't mentioned. So somehow "defensive role" and "sandblast" translates into generic-feeling walker that is a +1/+1 counter spammer and token spammer.

At least we will always have Eye of the Storm to at least abuse this with since it lets us cast the copy. Evil Lol

Look at the top three cards of your library. Put one of them into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library in a any order. If you cast this spell from anywhere other than your hand, instead put all those cards into your hand.

Here is something to chew on: When MTG does one day die eventually, the term mill will still be used as long as there is a card game that lets you remove cards from the top of a player's deck.

As much as I appreciate the keywording of "mill", I can't help but feel that the word choice is really awkward. It's magic slang that only makes sense if you know the history behind it but in a vacuum it means nothing.
Isn't that true for all keywords? Menace? Trample? Reach?

There's a larger Intuitive jump with Mill though, you can fairly easily Intuit how trample or flying work. The rules are just there for clarity. With Mill a brand new player has no context of what that word means. So it's probably closer to Prowess in that sense, or ferocious. So, this is not the first keyword that requires a knowledge of the rules, but this is a core set. That being said, mill is probably more intuitive than phase and phasing.
Yeah but mill is also a MTG rooted term that has been spread to other card games for the past two decades. Like if I type into google "Pokemon Mill" I get immediately:

    • Meganimum Mill (article)
    • Durant Mill (bulbpedia)
    • Rhydon Mill (youtube video)
    • Cinccino Mill (youtube video)
    • Centiskorch Mill (youtube video)
    Which are all mill decks.

Out of the Onslaught Legends we already have Kamahal and Jeska confirmed, who else could get one, maybe Phage (Jeska mono black) and Karona, maybe the Patriarch and Braids?

Actually there's a chance braids might be in M21

The flavor text of Peer into the abyss has her talking and it's ”Braids, dementia summoner” a specific name not just ”braids” and that's not what either of her past cards called her
Maybe not her specific cards like Braids, Cabal Minion but she has always been a Dementia Summoner. She is actually one of the more lucid Dementia Summoners. Its only when Karona showed up that she succumbed to her own dementia space like the rest.

This is also not the first time her name has shown up on the flavor text as Braids, Dementia Summoner

    https://scryfall.com/search?as=grid&order=name&q=flavor:Braids,

Its very likely she gets what is known in Yu-Gi-Oh as a "retraining". Chainer is a wonderful example of this.

The bigggest one to benefit off this is actually Roalesk, Apex Hybrid. As while this might sound heretical, his death trigger is far more important than Kokusho's. As he has access to Myth Unbound and cards that can copy an enchantment like Estrid's Invocation or Mirage Mirror. If you copy a Myth Unbound, your commander tax is zero and you always draw 2 cards per death. A Nim Deathmantle means that you only need to pay four colorless to bring him back from the dead, use Ashnod's Altar to make that cost two.

Sure it sounds janky at first, but it also means that he can now freely benefit off of just dying and returning to the command zone as well and coming back every 1-2 turns to just proliferate twice again. Hes not forced to using tricks that cheat death.

For example, if you have a Myth Unbound and a High Market, you can just cast him, sac him, and proliferate all of your planeswalkers twice in the simic colors. Or you can proliferate twice everyones infect counters. Or you can proliferate those counters on that Darksteel Reactor. And everytime you sac him, you draw a card with MU, so you turn a -1 into a 0 in terms of cards spent.

Keiga, the Tide Star and Jugan the Rising Star share these qualities like Roalesk, Apex Hybrid but they can't dip into both sides of the strategy.

Looks mono green to me with this image. Also his name is Heart of Krosa. Krosan cards are mostly mono green. Also the only card with a precedence for being red and having the word Korsan in its name is Stonebrow, Krosan Hero in which in the flavortext "he took up an axe in his rage-blind vegenace". The main way he could be Gruul is if the lower half of him is meant to represent his guidance from Balthor's Ghost.

There is a few possible instances of when this depicts him. The first time is when he battled a zombified version Balthor and then slaying Laquatus. The second time is when he mastered the Mirari sword under the guidance of Balthor's ghost and was preparing to battle Karona, but eventually couldn't bring himself to do it.

If its a spin on old version of green Kamahl, it likely lets you do the same thing as before of animating lands. Likely will be only lands you control as they have shyed away from letting you animate enemy lands for griefing purposes.

Should be interesting, anything that usually granted unstoppable was a 1-time trick or had a requirement such as "when ~ attacks...". Which means we might see enchantments and equipment and lords that grant it. Which also means certain commanders might see some more play if they can become unstoppable (Example: Phage the Untouchable)
