This card is really not as good as some people here seem to think it is. Yes, it's playable in a deck with a large number of devoid cards (read: only 0-4 coloured spells) but it really isn't the payoff that a card like Burning Vengeance was or Nettle Drone is in this set.

Cub for sure. It may not end up making the main deck, but the third retribution (especially when you already have too many clunky removal spells)won't make your deck better before or after sideboard except in really corner cases.

I too agree that black oath is slightly better, but it's actually a bit misleading to compare the two cards. Black oath is a creature with a very variable upside, reignited is a card advantage engine that is great when you're ahead but has a low floor (like many other walkers). I do think that comparing reignited to vraska is misleading because the thing which makes vraska so bad is that even in the games where she survives a few turns she isn't that amazing, whereas reignited can get a lot more value.

I think that Skyspawner is a must-include. I get that it's not the most interesting to have three cards that do very similar things in three different colours. However, if you're going to not play one of them then you shouldn't exclude the best one! And it's not just the best one by a small margin - this is better than the others by a lot.

I think this is a better card than ruinous path, and a very solid card in general. The fact that both modes are fairly costed is huge, although neither is cube levels of efficiency.

I don't think that the new lands are all that good. The blue and black ones are the best IMO, although I do think that the green one is being underrated because finding a land when you are mana screwed is a pretty important thing.

The problem I have is that they are enough better than basic lands. I'd say that some of them are better than basics and so is Teetering Peaks, but lands need to provide fixing or be significantly better than basics in order to be worth the slots in the cube in my opinion.

Also, I really do not like Eldrazi Devastator better than crusher, at all. If you don't want to run crusher for whatever reason, go ahead and cut it, but the devastator is simply not an efficient card. The annihilator is what makes Crusher good in the first place.

I think the card is powerful. The first ability is quite good as on an empty board it's really hard to deal with and a very quick clock. The second ability is honestly not that great but there are some cards that you can abuse it with. I think it's more relevant that there are a bunch of cards that become a lot worse when your opponent has this in their yard.

At 2bb I think that the card would be great but the triple black cost is admittedly awkward

I think this guy is being underrated here. Yeah, it's only OK on turn 2 because the trigger doesn't really do anything. But in the right deck the trigger will hit most of the time turn 3 and almost all of the time turn 4, so that's not the same as being a bad 2 drop but a good late game topdeck

I really like Oath in cube and also think that the card is extremely powerful. The decks generally want to have at least 3 targets but more often 4-5, and it's almost never worth running creatures that cost less than 6. The card can actually fit into a bunch of shells rather easily - control decks with cards like Titans as finishers, dedicated oath decks with a bunch of ways to find the card as well as protection (this is rare but they are really cool decks), reanimator decks and artifact decks.

I think the card's a 360 staple. It's not played every time, but it's played often and is always super unfair when it is played.

I don't think that you should assume that playing 2 colours is just the way to do things. In draft, that's often the case, but in sealed there's no cost to picking up mana fixing and it often works out that you can splash a third colour with little cost. I'd say that over half of sealed decks should be playing more than just two colours, so it's really not surprising that you are losing to these decks.

Scion is really not that much of a win-more card. Of course, it's a card that is by definition better when you're winning, but that doesn't mean it's not a good card. Overrun is a win-more card and we'd cube that in a heartbeat if it was a common.

I think it's certainly good enough, but we'll see I guess. The comparison point is a 3/3 and I think it's going to be significantly better than that on average.

I think it's a very good card, and it would be an autoinclude if it was just one colour. The way that its protection plays with counterspells means that it's not hard to get a hit in with Ojutai in the right deck, and once you start the train it becomes very hard for the opponent to win.

I think that saying that you don't want to play it because white and blue have strong 5 drop options is a little strange. Yes, it's true that both white and blue have strong options at 5, but all of those cards except Mulldrifter are less powerful than Ojutai is.

And yeah, it's MUCH better than venser. I personally really dislike when people defend cards because of their uniqueness when the argument is about card power level. Of course, anyone who's running a cube can cut powerful cards for less powerful cards to make their cube how they want it to be. But we're talking about how good Ojutai is, not how fun it is.

I don't think burn is going to be insane after it gets command. The deck will have a higher base power level but as always the strongest influence on the power of the deck will be how people are sideboarding. The best sideboard cards against burn (dragon's claw, firewalker and leyline) aren't much affected by having command.

I think most burn players will stay naya. Boros charm is such a key card and you get access to some key cards in the board, including firewalker as a trump in the mirror. The changes to the manabase from before are pretty negligible - you want to play 2 stomping grounds instead of 1. Yeah, you'll fetch one more often but command should be worth that

Energy Field without a Rest in Peace (or other similar combo) is simply not a good magic card. It still has a high upside without those cards in play, but it's so easy to disrupt and it disrupts you more than it disrupts your opponent. It's in the card's nature to lead to impressive games sometimes, but try to play it in a cube deck and the downsides will quickly become apparent.

I think this card is pretty weak. I don't even know if a red Stroke of Genius or Braingeyser would be good, and this seems to be a lot worse than that.
