I am a big nerd for tribal strategies in modern, and have always had a little bit of a soft spot for the Myr tribe, even though they really are not that great.
I have a box of modern decks that I bring to FNM's and nerd nights with my coworkers that has a collection of decks that I've built over the years and I recently decided to replace my Red Artifact Blast deck with one that uses the Tron lands I bought a few years ago but never really got into, most of the decks feature tribal and creature-based strategies (Zombies, Kithkin, Elves, Humans, etc.). I've landed on a weird mono-blue Myr tribal deck that uses cards like Repeal, Condescend, and (for now) Thoughtcast. I'm interested to know what all of your thoughts are on the deck, and if you think there is something I should consider putting in it that's not already there. I'm thinking about replacing Thoughtcast with Thirst for Knowledge, for starters.
Hello fellow Zombie enthusiast! I played (and LOVED) zombies in standard when Shadows was legal. Lately I've been doing something similar to what you're doing, starting with the budget mono-black list from the same vid and slowly adding in some better cards over time.
The first things I would suggest looking at would be a pair (or a full set) of Relentless Dead, they really up the power level of the deck. I've also been a huge fan of running some Fatal Pushes in there in place of those Cast Downs, just to allow for removal + activate Lord of the Accursed + swing.
I've been messing around with Liliana, Untouched by Death as well, she's been ok so far, but not amazing.
What cards have you been thinking about trying in the list?
