Sorry if this is nonsense, but it could mean cards with mutate have a different templating. Something that reflects the ability.
I know of the theory that Ikoria uses keyword counters, but, as any other set, mutate is not its only mechanic, the keyword counters and mutate are not necessarily related.

Agreed, maybe Calix got a spark because his *fate* is to defeat Eslpeth and that can only be acomplished by him being able to planeswalk.
According to the story summary, it seems the titans are proto gods in the sense they're born out of primal feelings (hunger and wrath). In which case, why aren't they also enchantments? (could it be Nyx isn't the only medium through which beliefs and feelings are made real? Ashioks magic works independently)
Also, the year consists of 365 days, the Ravnican months have the same number of days as ours (Gregorian) and the year begins with 1 Seleszeni (March 1)
The Guildpact is celebrated from 28 Zuun to 1 Seleszeni
The currency (units and minting) is described as the posters above said

Can anyone confirm for me what happened to Dovin Baan, and whether Kaya can now planeswalk with non-walkers?
I saw it mentioned in the original synopsis, but it seemed to have limited info. I don't know if Dovin is dead-dead, or 'dead . . . . ? '.

I also didn't understand what exactly happened to Dovin. It seemed like a diversion to me, not entirely definitive.
(hope he's not dead, as I'd like to see his redemption. he showed genuine concern for innocent civillians in the Kaladesh stories, unlike Ral and Vraska, for example, and they got by scot-free from this, being scorned only for threatening the guilds)

I will read the Kamigawa novels, Godsend and Agents of Artifice. If I have time, I will also try the older stuff too (I would have to familiarize with the lore first, I think, as I don't know much about the characters and settings of old school Dominaria).
Also liked the Chronicles of Bolas (wich I hope hasn't a literal translation to portuguese, the title would be rather... silly) and Children of the Nameless.
It seems you have a similar taste, so I'll trust your suggestions.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, I didn't find a recent thread discussing this specifically.
I recently started reading the novels (the first Ravnica and Mirrodin)and wanted to know what is the consensus (if there is one) on the best written stories.
For instance, I noticed some of the novels are generally considered bad (A quest for Karn comes to mind)and I believe others are appreciated by most.
I'm not looking for literary genius, just entertainment in a Magic setting. I really enjoyed the Ravnica cycle for the big city and characters, but think the Mirrodin ones are rather repetitive. Also Loved The Gathering Storm, really entertaining and well written in my opinion, but read bad reviews for War of the Spark and Forsaken.
I considered reading the Kamigawa ones, since I like the spirit war idea and the setting as a whole. The problem is, since the writing seems rather inconsistent (as in, there are great books and terrible ones), I'd like to know which ones are worth buying (ebooks). What do you think?

Of the planeswalkers, I like Saheeli (although she was barely introduced in the stories I've read) because of her optimism, Elspeth, as I enjoyed her character progression from someone who tries to run from her problems to someone who actually cares and Tamiyo, for her observing and calm demeanor.
For the planebound, Lavinia is by far my favorite. She seems disciplined, even if too rigid, competent and intelligent. (I'm a sucker for the righteous paladin types)
I admit I still haven't read all the stories they appear in and my opinion might change though.
Overall, although I'm male, I've always identified with female characters and many of them are relatable to me.

We didn't see much of the plane, but it has Azra and, at least it seems to me, been influenced by planeswalkers (i. e. there are creatures and magic from multiple other planes).
