Loved this card when I first started playing. I actually made a G/W Pauper deck around it a few years ago. Unicorns have been getting a little more support here and there and this would be a fun unicorn commander. Or even a voltron commander since G/W are the enchantress colours.
There are a total of 58 results to spend 'an hour' looking at, proving that Mr. Bhogal83 has done *none* of the research on the matter. They also state that none of the examples provided show people with skin tones that befit people of European origin (who, may I remind everyone, includes people from the Mediterranean) without any support.
I submit to the jury of public opinion whose case was properly argued and who failed to address any of the points raised, as had been put in the complaint by Mr. Bhogal83 in an earlier post.
You're original post was fantastic. I'm sorry the work you put in to actually addressing what was brought up was so ignored...but then I suspected it would be.
I think or at least hope WOTC sees discussions like this and realizes exactly why a character and card like this are needed. You can only go forward with this. Eventually minds will expand.
Would she work with Sigarda, Heron's Grace? I guess not since Sigarda's token making is on exile rather than cast. She has good flavor for my humans deck though so I can still squeeze her in there.
I think they can still hit Excalibur and other legendary weapons without finishing the Sword of X/Y cycle. They can just be legendary equipment. I'm thinking like Blackblade Reforged. Hopefully we get a wizards staff legendary artifact too.
I had to double check the new story book text box and there are two mana costs on it. So I am thinking some form of split or aftermath ability.
Why are we still talking about this? It's not important. The cards will work exactly the same if they have a white man or an Indian woman or a dragon or a cat person or whatever the hell else is on them. Would you people kindly stop talking in circles and either get back to the topic of Eldraine or GTFO?
This is really what it boils down to.
So far from what we've seen I'm excited for the set. The art seems top notch and I'm a sucker for high fantasy and fairy tales. I'm really curious to see what the new 'book' mechanic on the card textboxes will be.
What with the end of the Bolas storyline, there is likely to be little reason to revisit certain places meaning it is likely to see legendary creatures from these planes (Amonkhet, Kamigawa, etc.).
I could possibly see a deck that included a two- or three-color version of "Hazoret, the God-Survivor," possibly in Boros / Naya colors?
Not sure what they would do with it, but she didn't get a card in WAR, and with the story a return is unlikely but... The possibility to offer a vignette into current life on Amonkhet through a Commander product seems like an opportunity they might take.
That is an interesting theory. They could also make tri colour legends out of the Scarab and Locus gods too. They are still alive and just warped by Bolas magic unlike the fully dead God-Eternals. Maybe they shift back now that Bolas magic is gone?
I was hoping with the new Tolsimir we would get more wolf support. Did not expect it this early so this is a nice surprise. Dare I hope that Commander 2019 has even more support?
Now I'm just torn on if I want to put my Gruul werewolf tribal EDH deck back together for this lord or just slot him into my Tolsimir, Friend to Wolves EDH deck instead. Decisions, decisions.
Well, last we saw Theros, Ajani was spreading the truth about the gods as manifestations of belief (this is how Xenagos was able to become a god, after all) and telling people to stop believing in them, out of revenge for Heliod killing Elspeth. The temples have most likely been destroyed as a result of that.
The temples don't look destroyed. Also, Theros is very adherent to its pantheon, I highly doubt Ajani accomplished as much as he'd like to believe he did.
I do wish these had been the enemy cycle of the BFZ Tango-lands, or whatever we're calling them. I really wanted a UG one.
Eh, they're not necessarily destroyed, but they're in bad shape and most of them look dilapidated. For example, compare the new art on Temple of Mystery to the original art - the branches on the trees making up the center of the temple are completely bare. This is pretty much true for the other temples (Temple of Malady is overgrown with vines and the cauldron is cracked, etc.), but Temple of Triumph looks just as, if not more impressive than before.
It will be interesting when we go back because the nature of the Theros pantheon (fueled by devotion) makes them all very flexible. Depending on how eroded the beliefs are on the plane now all of the gods could be very different. And there may even be new ones!
The art on these is lovely and makes me jealous we aren't getting allied pairs since I play those more.

Yup. Going to be useful against Uril and Sigarda especially. Player hexproof can save you though.
