I pulled off the Triple Sarkhan the Masterless pillowfort again only this time I also got to pull off a Finale of Devastation for 10 and added Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury to the mix.

    *Swings with 3 20/20 SARKHANS...and some tokens*

I'm sorry, how does this work?

Basic game going back and forth, i am playing Riku of two reflections.
We have been going back and forth and while i did manage to get Parallel lives and Doubling season out, I am being ignored since I have played nothing all game.

End of my opponets turn (Before mine) i flash in Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir and then my general.

I untap and cast Avenger of zendikar and copy it so i get 5. i have *at the moment) 15 lands, (and a sol ring) So i get 75 0/1 tokenns. I then play my land for turn giving all my plants 10 +1/+1 counters (5 avengers and doubling season)

I then play concordant crossroads so they have haste, but just to make sure this is not for nothing cast craterhoof behemoth as well. Sadly i cannot copy it, but all my creatures get +82/+82 and trample. i swing and win in a single turn.

Metagames shift. If you're at the top, people will counter you, so you need things to counter their counters.
my meta has people play multiple decks (generally 3 decks some have less and some have more) so I am not to worried about someone building a deck strictly to beat my deck.

My other deck wins turn one quite often, so not too worried about that either. If they get to play a single land (if that) chances are they won't have many answers that early.

It's not about building one just to beat your deck. It's about just including a few, still good in other circumstances, cards. Hermit Druid decks started falling quickly after everyone included gravehate, and gravehate is nice to have normally because nearly every deck includes some recursion in this format.

true almost every deck does, and my meta has a lot of grave play decks.

I force people to deal with my forces very often. Make them waste a lot of resources, then play patriarch's bidding. (I may eventually get a living death, as i feel i am the ones with the most forces in the graveyard and have to board wipes often.

I would have to say to anybody who thinks their deck is complete for life ..ignorance is bliss..

A deck can never be truly finished, only enjoyed for it's magnificence in a moment of time.

While I would agree, i am sure there are decks that have never been upgraded due to never needing to. In most cases, if a deck is "complete" it is most likely due to each set not releasing a new card for said deck. My dragon almost got no upgrades form the newset block, but Rhythm of the Wild and Sarkhan the masterless were great additions. (Only took me like an hour each to figure out what card to remove to add them)

I do however not think there will be another card for the deck for a while. So until they release another great card that my deck really needs, it's done.

as for my Jhoira deck, the newest set is Dominaria (Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain) and until they release another 0 costing mana rock, there is little chance she will be upgraded. (But when decks consistently win turn 1, there is little room to upgrade)

I think the rules should set poison to 20 counters to kill someone.

just in EDH or everywhere, because if it is everywhere, there is no reason to run infect.

by this i do not mean thrown 100 cards together that work well and can win games. I mean a deck that cannot add more cards without making it weaker or ruin the theme. My friend has said that you can never finish and EDH deck as more cards come out and you can always upgrade. While true i also think some decks can be completed. When I start finding myself spending more time trying to find a card to remove for a new one (Like how long it took me to find a card to remove for Rhythm of the Wild or how long it took me to find a card to removed for Sarkhan the Masterless. My Jhoira deck cannot be altered as it will only weaken the deck. (Unless they come out with more 0 cost mana rocks)

When it comes to EDH some decks can indeed be completed, I have one that pretty much is, and another that while i did alter it recently, didn't really need the change, it worked fine without.

So anyone else ever complete a deck? Get a deck to teh point where it felt as though there was no where left to go? For me, there are a few decks I am working on that actually have a limitation on what can be added., they will officially be done until we return to ravnica yet again. (Which hopefully will not be for a long time. I am tired of ravnica.)

You can still use them to increase your storm count or trigger threshold. They aren't entirely functionless.

Like dark steel relic. It had no use other than increase storm count and in unison with clock of omens. Helps me to untap Mana rocks.

No card is truly useless, but some are impractical.

I had no idea there was a new sarkan. He will be amazing in my dragon deck. (Come at me bro. Oh well your creatures die due to damage befor they connect)

I may run the immortal sun, but it's the static effect I care about. If I get him out before the immortal sun though, even better.

    well brudiclad gives haste sooo...

You know... reading is tough sometimes. Lol.

As far as the question of planeswalkers, Karn, Scion of Urza fits, as do all 3 Saheelis. Saheelis make anything a token, and Karn tokens would be like servos with Coat of Arms.

Anger and wonder will be ran anyway (haste for when brudiclad is not around and flying for the evasion.)

I will also be running cost of arms anyway. So it's like doubled) And I was curious which PWs I should be looking at. Was curious if any new ones were worth looking at too. (Like Kasmina, I want to find a deck for her) (may end up just being low end super Friends that she shows up in.)

Chandra's Ignition kind of works but each copy that resolves will likely kill off other Golems so those copies won't resolve. I am not sure of a similar card that would actually work with with the Golems. I don't think it is worth finding though; that many Golems should already be enough to just win the game on their own without a need for an additional card.

As far as I know, Fiery Gambit really is the option. Which is fine, cause in that specific scenario, you'd have 5.5 million copies of the spell and you only need to win the 2 flips like 10 times.

But being serious, since things like Cackling Counterpart are already on the table, so I'd seriously play Precursor Golem in Brudiclad, but Fiery Gambit is a worse option than literally any haste enabler and those are probably a good add anyway.

that is just brutal. soul's fire would probably be a better win though.
If you mean with Precursor Golem, it would not trigger for Soul's Fire since it does not target "only a single Golem".

Oh? well is there a spell that does? (I mean it targets the creature. Accelerate that targets Zada can be copied for many other creatures)
It doesn't matter that it targets a Golem; it matters that it targets *only* that Golem. Soul's Fire targets the Golem and something else and thus Golem would not trigger.

that is true. Besides it would be too much of a niche card.

Are any planewalkers worth running? And I am running curse of opulence. as I feel a R to strat getting token is worthwhile

I was recently told that Soul's Fire would not trigger on Precursor Golem because it does not target a single golem. I am incline to belive it since it does deal damage to a target of your choice, but that is teh thing. Is the "To any target" what makes Soul's fire not able to be copied for every other golem you control?

Precursor Golem. Makes tokens. Makes lots of tokens with creature copying sorceries. Like, a lot.

Cackling Counterpart Precursor Golem, you get 4 more golems and a token Precursor. Let Brudiclad make all 6 golem tokens into Precursor Golem tokens, then Cackiling Counterpart flashback which triggers every golem to radiate the spell, and long story short, you have 897 Precursor Golems and 6272 vanilla golem tokens to target with Fiery Gambit, at which point it's probably faster to program a computer simulation to resolve that stack rather than play it out, both of which are slower than your friends saying "you know what, let's just say you won".
