I like that you can turn extra Ayulas into counters or bearfights.

What's everyone still hoping for? Me, it's Counterspell and some more zombies (Carrion Feeder would be a great reprint, but I'm up for anything).

Notably, I think not being able to protect herself is *slightly* less terrible than it sounds? If they send removal at her, they're still spending a card and mana on not killing whatever you're trying to protect.

Exclude seems pretty good. Half the time Cryptic is counter+draw anyway, and this is vastly easier to cast.

    EDIT: Wait, creature. Nevermind lol.

Third, for those whom do meet the criteria, what about the $20 gift card and a foil uncut sheet of the rare/mythic rare cards from WAR is not enough compensation for the damages caused? How is this damage even calculated, due to these people getting their money back? They are gaining items and are out only the time they spent trying to get through the, apparently, abysmal checkout process.

the most ambitious, yet only choice for the prosecutors if they hope to get a dime, is to seek damages calculated to restore the affected to where they would have been had the sale gone through. in other words the difference between the retail cost ($250) and the fair market value within a given time frame. what time frame they use, or where they pull prices to determine market value from; well i dunno about that. for example if the market values of a box is 850, the damage is 850 - 250 = 600. i think anyone can see why id call that ambitious.

From that link, this seems to be precisely what they're going for.

Frankly, I hope it succeeds, and not just because that means I'd be getting enough money to buy a box, but also because WotC needs to learn a ******* lesson from this, that they won't learn otherwise.

Though my other hope is that, should the case look like it might succeed, Wizards will just curtail it by offering a second print run to everyone who still has an un-cancelled order.

Not sure whether this is true but it appears WotC is offering an uncut mythic/rare foil sheet to those who ordered but were rejected. Here is the relevant post on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/mtgfinance/comments/bmddqc/not_as_good_as_mythic_edition_but_still_feels/

Again, totally can confirm, got the email a little over an hour ago.

So I just got an email that the consolation prize is an "uncut foil sheet of mythic and rare cards". Does anyone know how valuable that sort of thing tends to be? Could I just, like, get the sheet cut and use/sell/trade the cards? Anybody want to trade me their second Mythic Edition box for it? : p

Not sure if anyone else got this, but I got an email from eBay asking for the transaction to be formally cancelled via eBay. Depending on your viewpoints of the situation (whether you got your product or not) I would suggest that if you either haven't gotten your refund yet (I haven't) or you simply want to leave negative feedback (I do) do not accept the cancellation. The cancellation page is even explicit about not accepting the cancellation if you have not gotten a refund back yet and I am pretty sure if you cancel it, you can no longer leave negative feedback. In some cases I could see people who did get their product might want to leave negative or neutral feedback since, as this thread has shown, those did not go smoothly either.

Everyone should be able to leave negative feedback if they want starting tomorrow (or maybe Thursday) as that will be the end of the "probationary" 7 day period in which you can't leave negative feedback. It is unlikely to really do anything but I know it will make me feel a little better to do so.

I'm in the same position, and doing the same thing. I guess at least it's finally nice to be 100% sure I'm not getting my order.

I guess somewhere in the back of my mind I'll keep hoping for a second print run, given how much of a mess this was.

    *Shrug*

I just wanted to have some cool looking cards, not engage in childish fantasies that the cardboard I have is a magical object that is impossible to reproduce.

And even then, if just the 50k-ish people who tried to buy boxes got one, it's still a special edition that only the people who were there when it was released have. It'll still appreciate in value, it just won't be an immediate *****-show that feeds scalpers and screws over people who actually appreciate the item itself.

EDIT: And I've *still* neither received confirmation that the order is actually cancelled or that it will be delivered, nor have I received a refund. All I got was some half-assed message that might apply to the first attempt that didn't go through (But should have) or might apply to the later attempt (Which, if the boxes were already sold out and they weren't putting back up cancelled orders or whatever, should never have existed).

Or they could just print to demand not worry about whether the secondary market can sell promo Jace for $600 or $300.

Frankly I think the only way I could possibly be happy with this turn of events at this point is if they announced a second print run, and people who were screwed over get to pre-order it.

Definitely not happening, though, so they could give me a thousand dollar gift card and I'd still be let down.

Does anyone else have the "You didn't get yours" email, but also still have a valid order appearing in their eBay history?

I'm not sure if it's telling me that the first order I placed didn't go through (That I already knew failed) or that the second one is invalid (Which said it succeeded, and is still sitting in my purchase history with payment and feedback). If the second one is invalid, why hasn't it been cancelled on eBay yet? Do they just enjoy torturing people emotionally or something?
