The fact that it's a 2/4 is going to cause some serious miscalculations at prerelease, your opponent is going to block with an X/3 not realizing that the creature will die due to the +2 damage. If your opponent doesn't bother to read the card I don't believe that you are required to remind your opponent about the effect until damage is assigned. Going to be lots of feel bads at prerelease lol.
Indeed they are, however the general discussion around Blood Sun was its viability in combination with this in Standard, not the formats where most of those land destruction spells are playable. If somebody is playing 4 mana land destruction in Standard then I'm probably winning that game anyway...
They can simply make lands with the same things as the blue and black one but with different names to loop hole the reserve list and ones already in modern
They can't just make a card with a different name that does the exact same thing as a card on the reserved list. If its functionally similar/identical (ie: 1B: put a creature from your graveyard on top of your library) they aren't actually allowed to print it. They could change the activation cost, add an additional drawback (pay 1 life?) which would make it worse than the reserved list card and that would be fine, but they can't just straight up make an identical card, otherwise we'd have snow duals, or legendary duals that are essential ABU duals.
Nice, works well against the changelings that will be running around limited and maybe we will get some more coward cards in the set as well for extra gravy.
Except Coward isn't a creature type according to Gatherer...
This aged well lol, Oko is actually rising in price after being banned from Standard.
You mean with something like Manifold Key which is also standard legal?

It also removes the ability for your opponent's Field of Ruinand friends to destroy it...

I hope that C comment was sarcasm, we had an eldrazi archetype that ruined the format for a few months back in 2016...
A 2 mana instant speed tutor that puts the card directly into your hand in a format that is filled with creature combo decks is too slow? Okay.
