Well, lucky me that i decided to ask, i was going to take away those equipment from the deck in the realization that the interaction didn't work like i wanted. Thanks for the answer!
Say i have Atla Palani, Nest Tender on the battlefield equipped with a Amorphous Axe or Runed Stalactite. Do i get a trigger if she dies? Technically, what leaves the battlefield is (between many things) an egg, but i'm not sure if what touches the graveyard is. When exactly this kind of effects stop affecting the card?
I tryed using Sandwurn Convergence before and altough is flavorful i hardly get the chance to cast it (and for it to stay long enough to do it's thing).
Altered Ego, Spark Double and Clever Impersonator were once on the list, but the thing is there are times that no creature are worthy of cloning.
I have thornling but it didn't make the cut (altough being capable of gaining indestructible is a worth a second look). Endling being only 4 cmc makes it interesting, i'll see if i can get my hands on a copy.
Since we don't know when we are going to play with Ikoria, i've been brewing a deck with mutate in mind. It is in no way a competitive build, more of a janky recollection of things that i like to try under this new mechanic. Here's the list:
There are some things i'd like to add, like Cold-Eyed Selkie but since the quarantine makes it imposible to go out and buy cards i'll have to do with wath i already have.
Has it been said how mutate works with clones, copy tokens or even permanents that become creatures until end of turn (like manlands or things like Mirage Mirror)?
What if i mutate a creature like Sturmgeist? Or something that has a power/toughness determining ability?
Lets say i have Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath and Blade of Selves. I'm playing a 4 player game, and attack with my Uro equipped with the Blade. As i attack i get two token copys of Uro, and as they are legendary as well as the original, they have to be sacrificed as soon as they ETB.
But do i get the ETBs of gaining 3 lives, drawing a card and getting a land on the battlefield for each of the token copys? I'm not sure but as i understand, state based checks (to see there are multiple legendary permanentes with the same name) are made when the copys are created way before the ETBs actually trigger so i'm not sure if they actually get the time to trigger at all.
So the question would be, state based checks don't use the stack so an event that would cause something to enter de stack (like an ETB trigger) is made always after state based cheks are made, right?
Does the Elf stay blocked, or as Bruna is an illegal blocker she is somehow removed from combat? As far as i understand, the last time he could use pacifism to prevent me from blocking would be in the declare attackers step. Having the pacifism once Bruna has been selected as a blocker doesn' make the attacking creature become "not blocked".
I mean, having all three on the battlefield under my control, would i be able to cast sorceries with flash from the top of my library, pay then with lives and get a free copy? Or do i have to choose one of the effects to "use"?
I know its probably a dumb question, but i need to know.
I understand that Rayami, First of the Fallen first ability reads "If a nontoken creature would die, exile that card with a blood counter on it instead". So he exiles creatures that would otherwise die (go from the battlefield to the graveyard). When does the ability work? If someone, for example, Murder him, does he see he would die and gets exiled instead? The text doesn't say other creatures, so he should be able to be affected by his own ability
On the other hand, what about board wipes? Someone cast Damnation, does he see that the other creatures are going to die and exile then? And if he sees then, why wouldn't he see hinself going to die?
I use Guildmages' Forum to pay for Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle. Does it enter with a +1/+1 counter, even if it isn't a creature? I'd say yes because the ruling of the card says Arixmethes count as much as a creature as a land for entering the battlefield abilities but this isn't exactly that.
On the other hand, can i use Oran-Rief, the Vastwood nor Novijen, Heart of Progress to put a +1/+1 counter on Arixmethes ? I would say no, because it isn't a creature yet (if i don't cast 4 spells the same turn i cast him or remove the slumber counters any other way, that is) even if they don't need a target, but i'm really not sure.

I'd like to get a Cephalid Constable, that could be so so much fun. Volrath, the Shapestealer is another one that can be super usefull.
