I think I follow! Sorry about that, thank you for taking the time to explain it to me. I was getting caught up on the replacement exile effect of Kalitas for some reason.

So then, a follow up question - is it worth running Kalitas if it means exiling creatures instead of letting them hit the opponents yards' to be brought back from a Liliana ult that returns all creatures in all yards to the field under your control? Or is the creature "loss" negligible in the long run of the game plan?

I'm really excited to have found this post, I have nearly all of the cards for this deck already, minus one or two Liliana's (Last Hope, I think?) and I'm sure a few others. I found a card called Dusk Urchins that might be worth running as it can draw cards from Yawgmoth pretty well, I just don't know how to link it. I just made this account to post on this thread so please forgive my temporary ignorance!

But then how do you create tokens off of Kalitas to sacrifice? I’m sorry I’m just having a hard time understanding

Just simply missed Nether Traitor in my research as graveyard recursion, and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet turned out to be really good. The lifelink is even nice, because you do eat through your life total.
I had out Grave Pact with Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet and just got to gun down all the creatures on sight, as you create a new Zombie token that you can sacrifice.
Pitiless Plunderer was also pretty average, so just going with solid land ramp with Solemn Simulacrum for the cabal packages, and it's nice to have a creature you are happy to sacrifice.

Wouldn't Grave Pact and Kalitas be a nonbo, as they aren't put in the graveyard to create the Zombie token in the first place due to Kalitas's replacement efffect of exiling them instead? Asking for my own benefit haha I thought they didn't work together like that, and I packed a YawgDaddy like I was hoping to, so I will be building a deck like this as well, just want to understand how it works.
