Wishvoid Djinn2B
Creature — Djinn (R)
Flying
At the beginning of your upkeep, Wishvoid Djinn deals 1 damage to you. "I know your wish: that I'd never shown up!"
Hemlock - Neither an iconic creature, nor uses a evergreen keyword. Otherwise, I like the concept.
Ink-Treader - It's a splashy dragon, but I'm not sure about the ability. Discarding enchantments in red sounds weird, and so does being able to destroy almost anything.
bubblecat2 - Besides some typos (legendary is a type, not a subtype) I like this card. Probably too expensive, I'm sure you could have reduced its cost.
RickyRister - I'm not sure if this feels super white/angelic. Maybe we just don't see this kind of effect for a long time?
RaikouRider - Deathbringer Regent 2.0. I don't like how small it is, but I like not having a restriction. Not sure about the planeswalkers though.
void_nothing - I think you played too safely. 6 mana for a 1/1 with no immediate impact seems terrible, no matter how fast it grows.
Predictor Sphinx3UU
Creature - Sphinx (R)
Flying
Whenever Predictor Sphinx deals combat damage to a player, name a card. Reveal a card at random from your hand. If the card revealed is the card you named, draw a card. I predict justice!

Revolving Tides2U
Sorcery (U)
Surge 3U(You may cast this spell for its surge cost if you or a teammate has cast another spell this turn.)
Put target creature on top of its owner's library. Then, if the surge cost was paid, that creature's controller shuffles his or her library. "Zendikar protects itself through its nature; tides, for example, can be as strong as Ulamog itself."
— Jace Beleren
I guess I use it more broadly, like counting returning to the top of the library as bounce...so that would be fine. Thanks.
Returning to the top of library is not "bouncing". And anyway, I'd consider that too temporary removal: next turn your opponent will just cast it again and he'll be again on the battlefield just as before. It's not a DQ as for at least a turn you get rid of him, but using that will certainly imply a point deduction from the main challenge section as it clearly goes against the spirit of the challenge. Nobody said it was easy!
Anyway, let's bring this discussion to the discussion thread and leave this thread for submissions and judgments. Thanks.
You're right, I'm sorry. It was supposed to be a quick question with no follow up.
So now I'm confused. You say "I'd consider that too temporary removal: next turn your opponent will just cast it again and he'll be again on the battlefield just as before." So why is Sub-Ch-1 even a challenge? Wouldn't bounce mean failing the main challenge as well?
Inescapable Handcuffs3
Artifact (R)
When Inescapable Handcuffs enters the battlefield, if W or U was spent to cast it, detain target creature or planeswalker. (W/U)(W/U), T: Detain target creature or planeswalker. (Until your next turn, that permanent can't attack or block and its activated abilities can't be activated.) Waterproof, fireproof, and thief-proof.
Solid design, detaining a planeswalker very turn might be powerful though. It should probably have different activation costs.
Goblin Snow-Riders2R
Creature - Goblin Warrior (R)
Sacrifice a land: target creature gets haste until end of turn. If that land was snow, that creature also gets trample until end of turn.
3/2
It doesn't feel as rare at all. I like adding kicker to all creatures, but saccing a land might be too much.
I was 100% thinking we were gonna have to design a "good" Chandra. What a twist!
Temporal Binding1U
Instant (U)
Split second
Until end of turn, activated abilities your opponents control cost "skip your next turn" more to activate unless they're mana abilities. "Your future is always a good sacrifice for what you're doing now." - Zeryl Anadar
What's really the difference between this and just "can't activate abilities"? It seems such a huge cost that, except for combos, it probably reads the same and, if a combo, he could probably wait a turn anyway. I like the idea, I just think you overdid it. Should be rare btw.
Hivonnia, of the Coldest Eyes1WW
Legendary Snow Creature - Angel (R)
Flying, vigilance
Cumulative upkeep 1W (At the beginning of your upkeep, put an age counter on this permanent, then sacrifice it unless you pay its upkeep cost for each age counter on it.)
Instants and sorcery spells can't be cast.
Activated abilities that aren't mana abilities can't be activated.
3/4
This really feels legendary, and it certainly meets the challenge. Seems to last only 2-3 turns though, which is 1-2 attacks only. I think you could have costed it more aggressively or lowered the stats and Cumulative cost.
Reinforced Spellward1W
Creature - Wall
Defender W: Reinforced Spellward gets +0/+1 until end of turn.
If you would be dealt noncombat damage, you may have that damage be dealt to Reinforced Spellward instead.
0/4
It's not new, but somehow this effect feels fresh to me. I can see this slowing down Chandra a lot, so good job! (Rarity?)
Allies' Tomb
Land (U)
Allies' Tomb enters the battlefield tapped. T: Add W or B to your mana pool. WB, T: Target creature you control gains lifelink until the end of turn. Here they rested until the day they marched back to fight.
Snow BootsUR
Enchantment - Aura (U)
Enchant creature
When Snow Boots enters the battlefield, draw a card.
Enchanted creature gets +2/+0, haste, and can't be blocked. "Through the snow
You must be swift;
Wear your gear
And have no fear!"

@Jimmy: I think you have a wrong creature type
Creature - Faerie (U)
Flash
Flying
When Lightspeed Sprite enters the battlefield, counter target instant spell.
Not fast enough!

Nice design, probably too strong. I imagine 2 Rhinos getting flying and bashing for 5 right now. Anyway, interesting idea!
