decree of pain, austere command, cyclonic rift should be your main board wipes as the offer most advantage/utility. I run Sharum and I never feel I would rather have wrath or damnation. Just because they are cheaper does not mean the are always better. Most turn fours I don't find myself wrathing because either the board isn't that full or I'm ramping/tutoring for win cons. And if you really want 4cmc board wipe use supreme verdict, just to make sure the other blue players don't mess you up too much. Also on the whole tormod's crypt you can run the leyeline/helm combo for another win con /gy hate.

First big thing I notice about your deck is a lack of ramp. EDH is about big things with big reward. I know you're not playing green but there are plenty of ways to still get extra mana and make sure you hit every land drop. remember you're playing a 7cmc general with Vish kal, Blood Arbiter. you want your general out as soon as you need him if you're centralizing the deck around him and not having the mana will just make it hurt when that happens. I have been very interested in a B/W token/reanimator deck using him as a general so I'll through together a list this weekend and post it here with some suggestions. Hopefully it'll help you out some.

Oh I think they are both great cards. But the market gets less hate in my meta, the tower usually gets blown up a soon as it hits the board (though I don't understand the irrational hate for the tower). Also don't forget that Urborg sets up your swampwalkers like sheoldred, not always something to jump up for joy but it has resulted a win for me more than once.

Glad to hear you have already cut night whisper, rune scarred demon is a great card. I still think Greater Good is great even if you don't plan on going infinite, sac a chump blocker to dump even 3 cards after one draw can still lead to more options with Karador. I don't know if Phyrexian Tower is better than High Market, but the market seems to draw less hate (IMO).

Greater Good is always great, and I recomend droping Night's Whisper (it just feels too one shot in my opinion. If you want to run Yosei I would recommend going combo or you will think he is lack luster. A great threat at most any stage is Serra Acsendant, turn one it is huge threat and mid-late game it can bring you out of a bad spot easyily by itself (and it is so easy to recur with Karador).

I see you still run Garruk Wildspeaker I would cut him for Entomb. He just doesn't do enough, double so if you play multiplayer. Entomb gets any card to your graveyard at instant speed which sets you up for your mid to late game where as Garruk takes too long to give overkill and overkill should be win more most of the time and thus not necessary.

Has everyone gotten there copies of the Graveborn special edition deck? Have to say I love those foil copies of Entomb and Buried Alive. There are some other great cards in the list too but I love thes most since they let me finish my entire foil EDH decklist XD.

Problems with Oversold Cemetery are as follows:

    1. It puts the creature in your hand and not staight onto the board. There are too many good cards that put creatures straight into play that we don't need this.
    2. It's an enchanntment and not a creature. The same arguements that apply to Debtors' Knell can be applied here. It's harder to tutor and harder to recur.

I have played the card and did not feel it was right in this deck. I do believe that it is a good card but have not been upset at not running it since I cut it many moons ago.

Bitter ordeal has been working pretty well since most of my playgroup doesn't run blue much. I do have concerns as to some one holding counters against it but I think that is ok since it means them making smaller moves to keep up counter magic. If counter magic becomes a problem I may just fall back on my mana web with urborg, tomb of yawgmoth combo to lock up their plays. Also to note is that I have played with Aura Shards and will not go anywhere without it if I play G/W. Sure it draws hate, but if you always cut a card because it draws hate you'll end up with a bunch crap cards. Aura Shards is too devestating to not run. Let your inner Timmy smile when you resolve Avenger of Zendikar or Hornet Queen while Aura Shards is out against a Sharum player.

Only problems I have run into with Mindslicer is that my draw engines are pretty good so I usually have a pretty full hand that would get dumped and that puts too many threats in our grave and draws grave yard hate at us. Plus when ever I did draw him I seemed to over extend to get cards out of my hand. I think he would do better in a MBC with heavy discard elements. Though that is my ¢2.

Sharum comes in and grabs sculpting steel or phyrexian metamorph and copy Sharum. Legend rule applies before the new Sharum effect on the stack resolves killing both Sharum and the copy, effect resolves and you target Sharum. Continue this until you stop targeting Sharum and your opponents lose from damage viadisciple of the vault or their libraries are exiled by bitter ordeal.

Loaming Shaman, I do think most of you have missed this card. The next best way to put a balance back in your deck, along with anything else. And he can chump/sac to gargadon. If you want to run something other than Vendilion I would run 2 of this guy so you can have one target the other, but if a game goes that long I think something is wrong.

Has anyone tried Novablast Wurm? I run it and it has been pretty good to me. Bitter Ordeal helps strip grave hate from multiple peoples decks if you time it right after a board sweep. I use it to make other people play fair at my table so I don't get hated out.

Necrotic ooze combo in extended is to put devoted druid and grim poppet into the graveyard to get infinite green mana. Now to improve consistency you add Fauna Shaman to tutor and get things in the grave, Thornling to give the ooze haste and trample, and Birds of paradise to allow the infinite mana to become the colors of your choice. Necrotice ooze also works well with bloodthrone vampire, viscera seer, and nantuko husk to get the sacs for revillark going. It seems that my one comment has fielded a whole new discussion on the idea of necrotic ooze in edh teneeb so I will post my own list in the database to give an example of what I am refering to.

I have always loved artifact combos and blue control so sharuum is a perfect general for my competetive edh. One beautiful gem I found organizing my old stuff was mana web and I thought it would be good in the side board. Then one day I found myself wanting mana web before sideboarding and realized that it was good enough for main deck play. I have never regreted it since and found that mana web with urborg is some times even better than teferi on the board. You should give it a shot. Mostly helps against blue.
