I willing to bid on it and have him open and scan them, but I don't want to be bidding against fellow members. It would be nice to agree on one person to get it so there isn't a bidding war within the forum when all of us will get the info in the end.
As much as i disliked playing against CC and and 5c in the old T2 meta I think I'm beginning to miss a meta that had tier one decks that where not all aggro.
26 lands, coffers and 2 dark rits seems a bit overkill I understand the consume and profane get alot better but 26 lands really in a mono colored deck. Its like it wants to be a fast aggro/control deck until you go into top deck mode and relize you have 28 mana sources. Whats with no love for Lord of the Undead? Sure death baron is good but is this deck going to be overpowered with 25 lands and another lord. Other than that love the deck and yes please to all the rares for EDH.
I like to side in the sower during the elfball matchup. real fun to take there wren's away or archdruid. helps with that alot.
I think the Meddling Mage does alot better job against elfs because if it isnt answered they cant go off where as a an unanswered sower just slows them down. As for them against doran and g/b elves I could see them being good but I would rather have an answer to a larger part of the meta in mage than a very small one in sower. That being said i will continue to test and see which one works better against the field.
well i was forced to buy my 3rd M10 box today...case this town does not have big enough stores who just throw out binders of singles! lol...considering i've already gone through 100 packs....hopefully i can pull 1 glacial fortress!....and a baneslayer for good measure in the future! lol.
in case i dont...what should i run instead of the single glacial fortress (i only have 3) i was guessing a mystic gate...but once again...you said we dont need WW..but im not THAT good at guessing.,lol.
Why don't you just get them off the internet they are under 10 bucks. If you need them because you are going to nats just get them there.
@WizaRJ What MU do you want the SB sower? I felt like i wanted them against jund and r/b but they have so many go removal spells and I felt like sleep/BFT/Lark locked that down. I guess the Lark/sower combo is nice out of the side but what cards do you bring out if you bring in Lark, Sowers and BFT?
notes: you don't need ww, so no mystic gates. even tho you want uuu asap, a singleton plains is fine for fetching off of path. you can cut it for another island, but it's nice just to find often enough that i'm keeping it.
4x mutavault ftw w/ your 8 lords.
23 lands keeps you from mulling too much and makes your 4th drop very consistent.
I run mystic gates in mine because of the 3 Sygg and also I think its good to have more than 8-9 white sources for all the white SB cards and the Mages. Also I agree 23 lands feels like it leads to less mulls.
The only thing I'm unsure about in this board is the Sowers because I have always found that the MU's when I want them are against aggro but Sleep/Lark/BFT just get the job done. Also it seems like Archmage would be hard to land against 5c. My board and maindeck are
did you try vendy clique against 5cc? i like it there, b/c it's aggressive and fights their hand. it's basically just for those 2 MUs (i think there's better hate available for everything else, but i guess it's a question of what your SB looks like exactly). GEaM is a great card and very good elsewhere, but very difficult to land against 5cc and fae b/c of it's cc and speed.
I found that the SB Meddling Mage from the AU list helped against elves with it naming Regal Force. Do you find that sleep just does the job against them? What are you bring in Lark against it feels worse since the list I wanted it against are playing Hollowed now but i guess its still good against jund or other deck that we are playing the atrition game.
Also on a sidenote I think that Merfolk deserves a spot in the competative section I think T8 a nationals shows that it has the power to be competative in this metagame
As cool as it is it sounds really slow and dilutes the aggresivness of the deck.
