If any of you have cards under 10 dollars that you think would be tounament viable, that would be very much appreciated as I am bored and want to build a deck.

Sorry I wasn't specific, I would like the deck to be modern legal. As for colors, I pretty much enjoy them all but I like the combinations red and blue or black and green, sometimes azourius too. I think a blue white control or a red blue burn/aggro deck would be great, I just don't know where to start.

I've been playing magic for a while, and my decks are okay, but I am looking to make some more fun and effective decks, I really enjoy control and burn. My budget is $100 or $150 if I really like the deck. If any of you have suggestions, they would be welcomed.

Mono green infect might also work.

Ghoultree is great as well as creeping chill.

And the rest just basic mountains

Quicksilver amulet works as more copies of gateway.

As long as you don't run into blue white control your set, with a 30 dollar mono green infect deck. I went undefeated at an fnm and then took second the next week. Other times I will lose one maybe two games. While I have had bad games, I have never had a bad night. As for a list.

Thre you go, consistent turn three kills and even a few lucky turn two kills.

I think that mono green infect is a cheaper and easier deck on a budget. It is fast effective and easily upgradeable.

What about jace's Archivist.

I think it looks great, but if some of your payoffs are creatures then you might like geosurge. It's just an irencrag feat for creatures and artifacts. Other than that, I would love to play the deck.

I think the docent of perfection is going a little far on the creature base. Maybe replace it with more counterspells, hand disruption, or card advantage. If you want to keep the docent maybe just go down 1 docent and add another cheap counter like spell snare. If you just want to counter their spells and don't care if they get them back the remand is great. 2 mana counter a spell draw a card, but the spell goes back to their hand. Other than that the deck looks great and fun to play.

I am trying to find a way to make a prison deck using cards like deafening silence, rule of law, Eidolon of the rhetoric, and Aether-sworn Canonist. You play one of them and then continuously counter there spells and use cards like lullmage Mentor and delver of Secrets to close out the game. If you have any good ideas for counterspells or other win cons please help me out. Also if this is not the right spot for this, please direct me to what is. Sorry I spelled azourius wrong.

I feel that vexing devil, is one of those cards that would be amazing in the right deck. I am looking to build a deck featuring vexing devil , do you guys have any ideas for potential cards to put into a modern deck like this?
