Though, maybe we'll finally get the stained glass planesalker artworks
Not going to lie, I would find it hard to resist getting the stained glass ones. Still disappointed those weren't a thing outside of Arena.

So we have more understanding thanks to Greg of what happened finally with WotS: Ravnica and WotS: Forsaken. Something I was actually waiting on.

Its not what people were hoping in an apology, but it confirms much more about him being hamstrung. Essentially it was doomed from the start with Nissa and Chandra. They were never truly meant to be together, the possible romance forever baiting the readers.

As them actually being in a romantic relationship is not what the company WotC or the publisher Del Rey wanted, but Greg did. That when it came to Forsaken, he was given a mandate to break them up. Along with being asked to rewrite chapter seventy-three until it met their approval.

And what he says redeems Forsaken a little, even if its just for the single chapter of seventy-three.

Which I can totally get behind what you are saying as well, as wanting all foils would be nice for blinging. I personally have foil snow-covered mountains for a Skred Red deck that I can just swap between Coldsnap and Modern Horizons, Ice Age as well but no foils.

And I do agree they are overpriced. Best use I can even think of them for such a low quantity is maybe a Goblin Charbelcher deck. Or if you bought like 3, maybe a snowgreen tron deck.

Personally wouldn't surprise me if they said later on the Eldraine Wonderland did the worst in sales for their Lair line. (Can't imagine why /s)

I would say WizardMN 5 of each snow basic would be the sweet spot as it provides a seemingly equivalent deal.

Because lets say the player only needs 20. This puts them at $119.96. Which is comparable to wanting to buy 4x of Restless in Peace for example at $119.96.

And if WotC really wanted to scrimp, make it the first of the five for each basic is a foil while the rest aren't. Which doubles in that while the foils for Eldraine Wonderland would bend like a FTV foil, the rest of the 16x don't. As the goal would be to entice the player to buy the same product more times. As the customer rationalizes how its actually a good deal comparatively to the rest when compounded with any sunk cost the customer has.

Plus the cost of making a non-foil to a foil is literally pennies.

(I don't even have a masters degree in economics, let alone study it, and I noticed how they could get away with basically murder.)

Those basic lands are ******* amazing looking... can't believe you only get one of each for ******* $30
They're snow lands. It's on par with how much you'd be spending on the open market, if not a bit less.
It sounds good on paper, five foil snow lands of each basic, only $30.

But then you find out they curl like a FTV card. And if you were going to stock up on foiled snow basics, you might as well buy the Modern Horizons versions instead as the foils are only $5-7 each, except for a foil Snow-Covered Island from MH which costs $10 and is about the same as the Forest/Plains/Swamps from the Coldsnap set.

Also not all the cards are foiled, but are alternate artwork:
    Bitterblossom Dreams (Bitterblossom)
Restless in Peace (Life from the Loam, Bloodghast, Golgari Thug)
<Explosion Sounds> (Goblin King, Goblin Lackey, Goblin Piledriver, Goblin Sharpshooter, Goblin Bushwhacker)

Which shows effort was made to make some not suffer from the poor foiling process so they would have more usability in tournaments.

Here is the contents of the Kaleidoscope Killer

That’s the only one I’m interested in then since that’s much cooler art of sliver overlord, the Ur-dragon and the reaper king

Is it just those 3 (surprised morophon wasn’t in it.)

    Just look

OMG.... it’s gone from bad to worse

Not only it’s only 24 hours There’s only 10 available per customer for each one

Idk why someone would ever want to buy more than 10 of anyofthose XD there is a limit of how many variations of the same UR dragon commander deck you can build.
Expect the ones people are most hyped about to be the ones with the most price drop on the secondary market.
Snow-covered Eldraine basics. Considering you only get 1-of each, and there is a limit of 10 per person, you can only get 10x of each snow-covered basic with this new art for $299.90.

Even if you were just aiming for 20 of each basic, that is still $599.80, split between two accounts, which likely involves paying shipping costs twice.

    Primary reasons:
    1) Uniform lands
    2) Bling
    3) You just really liked Thrones of Eldraine and want to do some GoT deck
    4) You need this for multiple decks
    5) You need this for a cube
    6) Mix of the above

Currently having more fun reading Teeth & Quest. I'm not saying Wintermute's novels aren't trashy, but Weissman's MTG novels make the other trash look better.

Just to give people a perspective of how awful the price ratio is with the snow-covered foil basics.

$29.99 (baseline) for 1 of each snow basic. (5 cards)
$719.76 for 24 of each snow basic. (120 cards)
$1049.65 for 35 of each snow basic. (175 cards)
$1499.5 for 50 of each snow basic. (250 cards)

I am thoroughly disgusted by this.

Lol, if people don’t want to play low-powered then that’s their prerogatives, but what a bad excuse. You can’t afford $30 to buy a precon to play low-powered, because you spent thousands on cEDH...right...
If the price of a deck is the X-Axis, how tuned it actually would be is the Y-Axis. Even amongst the precons, they are tuned to varying degrees despite being priced around the same.

Not exactly Migera. They actually do want their standard cards to be played in other formats such as Modern, Legacy, Pioneer, Vintage, including ones like Commander as its their easily best selling one. And they realized that for that to happen they need to dramatically push the power level of sets for standard. Fun fact, they have also stated Kaladesh and Aether Revolt was during their depowering of standard in prep for things like Eldraine.

Yeah. Especially when the only real counter to him was really Noxious Grasp. Which meant you were playing black and the deck that specifically countered Oko decks. Sure there are other decks you can play at an LGS, but if you actually wanted to win tournies, you were either playing Oko or Anti-Oko.

Which was basically Infinite Cats Vs Cars all over again from Kaladesh. Which was also riddled with the problem of "Not enough good answers" as a matter of fact. For if you were playing black then as well, it meant you were playing Cars because of Fatal Push.
